We know that you will love what you ordered but if something doesn't work out; Free People will gladly accept unworn, unwashed or defective merchandise for return or exchange within 30 days from the shipping date. Simply, follow the directions on the back of the packing slip to return merchandise for credit. If you would like other items you may place another order through the web site or specify what items you would like in the "New Merchandise" area on the packing slip. Pack all items in a secure carton or reuse the original packaging and enclose the packing slip.

Free Shipping on Even Exchanges: Ordered the wrong size or color? No worries! If you need to exchange an item for the same item in different size or color, we will waive the Smart Label Fee and the Return Shipping!

Your refund will be credited back to the original method of payment used to make the original purchase. You may also return merchandise you ordered online or though our catalog to any of our stores within 30 days from the date of shipment. Please see our Help and Info section for additional details about returning catalog and website merchandise to our retail locations.

Gift Returns: If you received a gift from our catalog or website, you may return it to our distribution center. A gift card will be issued for the amount of the item(s) and mailed to you. We are unable to process returns for items purchased at a store location.

The original order number is required to process the return. If you need assistance obtaining this information, please contact us. Please have the gift givers full name and address information handy. We will provide you with a gift return form to enclose with your package if you do not have the original packing slip.
