"I purchased this slip to wear under short dresses and tunics. I thought it would look cute to have a little bit of lace peaking out from under my shorter garments. Here's the thing: this slip is really long. I am 5'5" and it comes down a little past my knees so, when wearing it under shorter things, not only does the lace peak out but so does several inches of the solid white fabric which makes the whole thing look bizarre. You can bunch the slip up a bit to make it shorter but then you're adding extra bulk to your frame. If you're a taller girl, then by all means get this cute slip to wear under other pieces. Otherwise , this is going to hang longer than expected. I wished I'd waited until it had gone on sale. I think I'm going to cut the top off and hike it up to make it shorter. 70 bucks is a lot to pay for something that I am going to have to butcher."

"I got this in both Peony and Black, size Small. It is a great layering piece. I've worn it underneath oversized sweaters, larger tees and tanks. I love having a little lace peek out underneath tops. It instantly gives the outfit a girly, feminine look. I wouldn't say this is best slip for layering under bodyhugging pieces because of the slightly thicker seams throughout. But it works for nearly everything else that's a little looser."

"Free People slips are one of my biggest obsessions lately and this is one of my favorites. This slip is such an easy way to add a beautiful lace detail to any outfit. The possibilities are endless with this one. It is so comfortable, i never want to take it off! I have it in black and i must get it in the new navy blue color. The layers of lace are very pretty. I love the corset seams. This is a great purchase!"

"I first got the white colour and loved it. It is stretchy on top, which is perfect for hugging the body under loose sweaters or dresses. The white doesn't look very nice on its own though. I next ordered the black on sale (though oddly this is now not on sale???). The black is even better because could be worn on its own, like the model. I prefer it under sweaters with a pair of leggings, since I'm a bit curvy. Love this, my favorite FP slip by far!!!!"

"When this was the "Ruffle Bottom Slip" last season, I bought it in mauve and it has been my absolute favorite piece since. Everything about it was perfect, so naturally I got this as well. The fit and length is the same, but the lace at the bottom is not as opaque (and is actually see-thru) and can in no way be worn as a dress. Even as a slip its difficult, so I am going to sew black satin into it and make it wearable. If it weren't for that, it would have been perfect, again!"
