I purchased this shirt quite a while back in black and white and was absolutely in love with them. Unfortunately, my white one somehow ended up with a stain on it that I could not get out so I decided to buy a new one and was very happy that they were restocked. It just arrived today and it is a totally different shirt! Same shape, but it is made differently. It has a different tag, and is made out of a fabric that is much thinner than the original and of a lesser quality. The cotton is not as tightly ribbed, and it is so thin it is see-through, an issue I never had before. I understand that $20 is very reasonable for a Free People item, however the most I would pay for something of this quality is $5. Not sure if this was a fluke or what, but a side by side comparison of the old vs. new shirt is just very disappointing.

I ordered the olive, white and black in small for the summer. This top is perfect for all kinds of outfits, and I was excited to get it. The olive is from the old batch and fits perfectly with only a minor amount of sheerness - not enough to see a bra though. The black and white are part of the new batch and both fit smaller - the white being completely see through. Why the change in fabric, FP? I'm definitely going to keep the Olive but am battling about the other two because they are technically inferior. Also noticed the RN# is the same but CA# is diff. It's a shame I didn't jump on these sooner during the first batch.

I ordered this in a small in the petal pink. When I opened the package I almost thought they sent me the wrong shirt because it didn't look much like the pictures online. The color was kind of a peach pink and very short. At 5'10 the length came to above my waist which takes away from the flowiness of the tank and I'm not fond of the ribbing of the material as well.

I bought this in black and loved it so I ordered the hot pink. It is a little more on the red side than it looks in the pic.
Definitely needs a racer back or strapless bra. Shows off well toned arms nicely. I happen to love the neckline on it as I don't care too much for a scoop neck. Very loose fitting around bottom which is also nice as it is not clingy. Looks great with a pair of skinnys!! I am normally a small however find FP runs a little larger in everything I've ordered so I go for the xs. 34C 119 lbs 5'3

I'm 5'3", 34D, 130lbs, hourglass shape. I have this tank top in a size medium, as I like things over-sized, but my usual FP size is a Small. (My Keep-Me Tee's are all size small) This tank top is extremely comfortable material. It's light-weight, but not the sheer-burnout type of feel. It's a ribbed cotton much like a classic tank top. Because of the ribbed look, it is more of a casual shirt, but can definitely be dressed up. I have the washed red and it's a beautiful color. it's a very true red, but borders on burgundy. The shape of the tank top is extremely flattering because of the racerback cut at the top, it goes in slightly at the waist, and then billows out beautifully. For low-impact workouts, dance class, or a comfortable day at work, I wear this tank top layered over the Galloon Lace Racerback Bra or a sports bra. The Galloon Lace bra can't be see directly through the shirt, as it's thick, but it peaks out at the sides which is a cute, sexy accent. I love wearing this cut with my FP Pull On Kick Flare for a comfortable-cute look at work. For a night out, I pair a collar/bib necklace or a Y shape necklace with the shirt to dress it up. I wear this tucked into my high waisted vegan skater skirt (Sold Out), or the front tucked into a pair of vegan leather pants or waxy-look pants. This is an essential basic top for your wardrobe, and it's classic, comfortable, but most importantly... super cute!
Rated 5 out of 5Â by tesshall23 Great tank
I bought the white and the black at an FP store yesterday, and I am seriously considering buying another 2 or 3. I agree with other reviewer that the top part of this tank does come in very narrow, but that is what I like about it. It's a unique cut that is very comfortable and flattering for my broad shoulders. The fabric is soft and flowy, perfect for summer. As for sizing, I went with my usual size small (5'3", 108, 34A with very broad back/shoulders) and I think it fits just right (though I could have gotten away with the xs).

I have the olive and dandelion. The colors are rich and beautiful. The light weight material isn't too thin. It is a fuller cut, but not boxy. The shirt tails aren't too long either. The neckline is great with lots of jewelry or solo.Great by themselves or for layering. A basic staple piece.

Mixed reviews but first of all, best tank I've had in a while and it's only $20 bucks. Purchased the white, sz small and already washed it a few times with no problems. And once I ate mole (mexican dish) and left me with a few specks and luckily came out, phew. No complaints whatsoever, happy camper :)
