 by patski Extreamly disappointed
I received the boots today. They arrived in the condition like they have been traveling the world! Seriously!
Before I bought the boots I have read the review below from Brianna Graham and I thought she must has received a bad pair. In fact the pairs I have received is no different but might be even worse. After the Brianna's review I thought Freepeople might be trying to do a better checking before sending out the orders.
I have received a pair that have dirty soles, black stains everywhere inside the boots. Bottom of the boots has thin plastic layer and they looks like somebody have had serious walk on it. Some folded mark like they has been worn for a long time. (pls see the pictures) Seriously? this is what I got charged for 548 dollars? I felt like I have got second hand boots for a very brand new price. It is really unacceptable!!
I kept coming back to Freepeople because of the funky style you have. Even I have to pay high rate import tax everytime to the customs (this time it was 135 euro) but it never stop me from buying from Freepeople. This time really turns me off. Pls do something or else I might be returning the boots and reconsider if I want to keep continuing shopping at Freepeople.

 by BriannaG In Love...BUT.
I feel very compelled to write a review on these boots. First, I will say that I am absolutely in LOVE with the look, the feel, the smell, the buckle, the quality...etc. But I have a few points that I would like to address, and I hope Free People will look at my order history, and take me seriously.
1) I ordered these boots the first time a few weeks ago. In size 40, and they accepted my order, but my order never came. Instead, days later, I logged into my account status, hoping to see "Shipped", but instead, I saw "Cancelled". Considering that I thought I successfully ordered and paid for this boot, I was literally crushed that someone else apparently beat me to the very last one in this size...
After browsing the website once again several days ago (which I do once per day at least - to see the new releases)... I noticed the models were wearing these boots in the new photos of the new clothing, so I assumed maybe Free People received another shipment of this boot... Well, that was not the case, BUT I did notice that the Size 40 was again showing available... However, just like several weeks ago, it said it was "the last one in stock"... But again, I took a chance and ordered.
After placing my order, I actually called the Free People phone number to ensure my order was actually going to reach my door, and the girl on the phone confirmed my thoughts... She said that yes, someone had probably ordered the boot right before me, and that was the reason why it might have been cancelled the first time. Then she mentioned the following: "When we receive returns, we inspect them fully to make sure there is no damage, etc, before placing them back online for sale..." (Please read my very last point to see why I am upset.)
This time they ARRIVED, and I literally almost jumped the UPS man to get my package...
After opening the box, re-lacing the boots, and putting them on, here is my report:
1) I LOVE THESE BOOTS!!! They quality is better than any other boot I own (and I have MANY expensive, well made boots - Jeffrey Campbell, Frye, Cydwoq, Bed-Stu, Biviel, etc.)...
2) I am so happy I went with my instinct that these boots run at least one size small (I am a solid 39 EU boot - and this 40 fits like my 39's from other manufacturers).
3) I am so so so sad and disappointed to have found these boots, that I have waited so anxiously and impatiently for - even after the first cancelled shipment, to see that there are indentations and scratches on both boots from the eyelet holes and zippers, and a very noticeable dent on the top of the right boot, that there is no way to remove...
Now, I am not at ALL one to complain, but Free People, please make this right for me. This is a $550 boot, and the VERY LAST boot in the size that I need... I have searched and searched the internet for this boot elsewhere, but it does not exist...
I do not want to send them back, because I am truly in love, but I do honestly feel that with the defects in the boots that I received, it looks like they traveled around the country several times, and have been in the hands of several customers (or a storeroom floor??) before they reached me...
PLEASE someone contact me regarding my concern... I love this company, and I will continue to order your boots, clothing, etc... BUT - to charge your clients $550 for something that has obviously been damaged is NOT right...

Actually the boot is too cute but too tight on the ankle part. I normally wear size 5 but like 8 for boot so I can wear warm socks in. This one is too tight, I can't zip up. Too sad had to return it. Hope they will make some changes on the upper part.

Very elegant boot and versatile. Well worth the money. Would absolutely love to own the black ones as well, they look awesome. I have small feet but wide and they are difficult to put on but not tight fitting. Just need to be careful undoing the shoe lace as they are uniquely threaded through the holes and it would be near impossible to replicate!! No regrets, love them.

When they arrived, I loved them. When I put them on, I loved them even more. But note that they fit pretty narrow. My feet are skinny in width and these boots were a bit tight. Great quality! Neat sole on the shoe that the display pictures dont show. Nice surprise.
