I bought these boots in the "Tan Lux" color after searching for years for the perfect replacement to my favorite riding boots. I was prepared to shell out the cash for some Fryes, but when I saw these, I wanted to give them a try. I'm so glad I did, because the quality is excellent - just as good as Frye in my opinion, and for a much lower price. I am a true 8.5 and these fit true to size for me. The leather is very soft and supple. I have worn them with skinny jeans tucked in and bare-legged with dresses. When worn without pants or tall socks, the shaft of the boot will slouch, but only slightly - I have not experienced them sliding down my leg like in the stock photos (more like the first model pic). The distressing is spot-on and and very cool, also. I am 5'8", and these reach all the way up to my knees, so they might be too tall for a petite person. These are a great pair of rustic, comfortable boots that I would absolutely recommend.

If you have ever had issues with your calves being too big for boots, then these are not for you. You would think with the lace up in the back that you would be able to manage but the mid section is tight so they do this awkward loose near the ankle, tight in the middle, loose up at the top thing. Not cute for the price. And plus one on the leather, quite flimsy. Will be returning these, though they are gorgeous.

I found these boots to be rather cheap-looking in person. I know they're casual boots, but aside from the lovely smell of good leather, they look kind of plastic-y. And the distressing doesn't look natural, but more like a painted-on camo print. They're very stiff, which would probably lessen over time, but overall I don't find them very comfortable or attractive. Sending these puppies back- the search for the perfect Fall boot continues:)..

I got these boots in a lighter color and went about 1/2 size down from what I normally wear. They go with everything! So adorable with leggings, jeans, skirts, dresses. They can be super casual or dressed up. Most of all they are so comfy I feel like I could go hiking in them. By far the most favorite pair of anytime boots I own. A must have and the little lacing detail on the back is just the perfect accent.

This is a great boot, in a timeless rustic style. The craftsmanship is lovely, the leather upper flexible so it can be worn up or slouched. The weight of the leather upper allows the boot to be worn year round (unless you live in the tropics). These boots run a good 1/2 size large. I am usually a 9, it is fine with thick socks or a thicker insole. I am keeping the black pair in 9, but changed the backordered tan to an 81/2. Also the calf is on the roomy side for my 13" calves.

My hubby bought these for my birthday that is coming up in a couple of weeks and I'm so glad he did! These look fab on - I wore them casual with jeans and plan to wear with dresses too! I agree with the previous reviewers who mentioned that the sizing is large - I'm a size 9 and ordered the 8.5 and they are perfect! the leather is so soft and the first day I wore them they were so comfortable I had none of the usual breaking in blisters etc.

I really knew the quality would be good, everything I ever buy from FP is amazing. But these boots were even better than expected.
I bought the tan color. They are darker than pictured so I was relieved because I didn't want them to be too light. The leather is just dreamy soft. They fit true to size!
I am seriously thinking of ordering a second pair, maybe the black. I can see wearing these boots with so many outfits! I'm so excited for fall now that I have these boots.

I was very excited to receive these boots. Assuming that, at the price, they're be as gorgeous as they are in the photo. When they came in, I wasn't in love. Lighter than pictured, almost a little too distressed, like they were covered in dried salt. Very flimsy as well, definitely not a sturdy winter boot (I'm used to frye and want wear out of my boots). If you're okay with the appearance and flimsiness/lack of durability then I'd say go for it, if you can afford it. Sadly, I had to return them.
