Rated 4 out of 5 by No sole It's painful for me to deduct a star from this boot because the construction is so beautiful, soft, and detailed. They look just like they do in the images, but they feel softer than they look. The major problem that earned four stars rather than five? I can't wear these boots out. Why? Because there is no sole on the boot. You can't see this in the images. Free People cleverly hid the sole of the boot in every picture. They are just one layer all the way around the foot (the inside is lined with sheepskin, btw, so they are very, very soft). But I know that if I were to actually wear these out without some kind of extra leather layer protecting them, they would tear within the first hour of use. And there goes upwards of $900. So, in the end, that seems a lot to pay for a pair of house shoes. My solution is to go and seek out a shoe repair person who can place some sort of bottom to this boot so that it's actually functional. They're just too beautiful to leave indoors. 2.18.2014
