Medford Lace-Up Boot
Just as pictured
I'm not sure why there are such negative reviews for these shoes. I wear 7.5, sometimes 8 if shoes run a little small, so I stuck to my usual size 7.5 and they fit perfectly. They look exactly as pictured, and are really comfortable on my feet. They have arch support, and the soft soles make them easy on the feet. They feel great for long walks. My 2 sisters saw them out of the box and neither really liked them (one is a total girly girl, the other wears slingbacks and streamlined clothes), but I'm a ballpark, beach, outdoorsy type & drummer. I like earthier, funkier stuff. I really love them exactly as shown: with skinny jeans or leggings. So it probably just depends on taste and style. For me, they hug my feet & feel fantastic!
no. not even on sale.
these are the worst fitting shoes I have ever purchased. tried to break them in with thin socks and thick socks and got several blisters on each foot no matter what. my feet are not out of the ordinary and i sized down a size as recommended. they were still too big in the toe. sad, 'cause i was excited to see these go on sale so i could afford them.
cute for sale price
I had my eye on these when they were full price and when they went on sale I snagged them up. I am usually a 10 and bought a 9.5. They run long, I could use a 9. They make my feet look really long. The bottom of the shoe is great because it keeps the shoe material protected if the ground is wet. Love the fur detail, the leather of the shoe is really thin. I wasn't sure if it was even leather. I don't like the metallic reptile pattern that is on the back of the shoe but if you keep the fur lining folded down, you don't even see it. Boots are really light too so that is great! I plan to wear them with skinny jeans tucked in. Like someone else said in their review, they are bulky. Overall, they are awesome for the price but I would never spend more than $70 on them.
i purchased these boots in a size 8..too small
returned and reordered in an 81/2.fit more like a 91/2..they are a nice boot, but will have to return these also as the sizing is way off!!
HUGE let down.
I was really looking forward to these boots and when they finally arrived I was so very disappointed. This came as such a surprise because the reviews for these boots were so good. In reality, the boots are cheaply designed, poor quality â?? the leather is thin and the fur lining is, well, cheap, and they're actually kind of ugly. (the picture is VERY deceiving)
I donâ??t usually splurge on boots and now I will be sending these back to look for a more durable and worthy pair of boots.
A little too roomey
I bought a 9.5 thinking it was my normal boot size. It is a little too big. I did wear them for a few days with thick socks because I was thrilled and now I'm trying to sell them. Interested? I would try to buy a size 9, which is my sandal size. I wore them with a Maxi skirt and leggings with a long skirt and big jacket. I love these boots.
I just received these boots in time for the colder weather, and they are everything I had hoped for. There is a metallic gleam to the brown part, but it very subtle. They are super comfy and add a little practical pizzaz to a pair of jeans and simple top without trying too hard. The only thing I don't love about them is they look a little bulky. There are shoes that make your feet look small (which I usually aim for), but these are DEFINITELY not them.
Am I making a mistake in keeping these?
I was so very excited for these to arrive and when they finally did I was a little disappointed. As far as construction and material they are great! But I'm really not sure how I'm gonna wear them. I had all kinds of plans for them- I wanted to wear them with slips and dresses etc(like in the catalog) since I'm a bit of a Lou girl. But it just doesn't look right in person. I've always wanted to try this look but maybe it's just not for me. I would love to hear how other people are wearing these. I hope I'm not making a mistake in keeping these, I want to love them so bad.
