Rated 3 out of 5 by Wonderful Jacket, But... I was really excited to receive this in the mail. After reading the reviews, I sized up from my usual XS to a S. I'm a size 0/ 5' 4'' and S was perfect! The buttons are old buffalo nickels, the demin is a good quality (soft and thick), the jacket is snug but comfortable. BUT... I got a horrible color blanket (like the other reviewer mentioned =( ). It's bright neon pink and very dark green. No blue, no yellow, no red, no orange. JUST neon pink and dark green. It's pretty ugly. I'm not sure if I should return it and get another one or just give up and return it for good. After spending so much on a demin jacket, I really wanted it to be pretty. I've lived in NM my whole life and I've never seen a Mexican blanket this color! It's such a bad combination. Pepto pink and seaweed (weird)! =) 7.17.2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful Jacket (after a try or two...) So I was really excited when I saw that this jacket had gone one sale, seeing as it was my first jean jacket, and I went straight away with buying it because I loved the distressed look and the blanket. I read the other reviews beforehand and after seeing that it was too small for people and the blanket came out weird, I hesitantly ordered it in a small with fingers crossed (normally I’m an extra small). When it got here it did end up having the unflattering neon pink and green color, and for the price I was not satisfied, so I made an exchange (it was also really big on me in the arms, so I sized down to extra small). When I got it this morning, the color wasn’t like the one on the model, but I still got a really pretty blue green and red one that was much better than before (it will go with a lot more) The size for me was perfect too! (I'm 5'2 with a petite but athletic build). I'm pretty satisfied now, and I'm really glad I made the exchange :) 11.23.2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by So heartbroken-NEON Pink blanket I agree with the other reviewer in that I was unsure which size to order. I also never wear anything other than a S in jean jackets, so I was scared to order the M. I went with the S but when it arrived it was tiny. Not just snug-unwearably, comically, painfully tiny. I definitely need the M for a slim fit or a L if I want to actually wear this over anything other than a tight top/ or super thin dress. As the other review states, it's very durable and quality. It's well made, perfectly distressed and the buttons are so cute. BUT my Mexican blanket was UGLY!!! It was neon pink with dark green stripes. It was so bright it looked like a safety vest. The jacket pictured looks so cute, but this color was distracting and looked like a safety vest. It took the jacket from looking stylish and expensive to looking very cheap. I guess it's just luck of the draw which color you're going to get. I would like to order a M in this, but I'm terrified I'm going to get that hideous pink color again. 6.6.2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mexican blanket everything! The Mexican blanket is the most forward this season, so why not sport it on everything? I am shamelessly in-love with this jacket. I was not sure what size to get but luckily the measurements for the medium were almost the same as the small Baja Denim jacket I have. I have never bought a medium anything in my life, I am 5'3 100 pounds and very petite. The medium fits great and it is very heavy duty, not light and cropped like the Baja jacket. I do roll the sleeves like they have in the photos but they were not way too long. My pattern has a good amount of blue and yellow and some green. I am in love with the buttons! There are two Indian head nickel buttons and a cool button with a tribal design, they are however just sewn on there so I don't recommend using them to button the jacket, use the fixed ones so you don't risk loosing one. xoxo HoneyGem 5.31.2012
