I was really excited about the dress; I had read the previous reviews about it being very revealing and that every "lump and bump" would show but I wanted to give it a chance anyway. When I got it I was SOOO disappointed. Yes, it is very revealing and shows all "little flaws" such as my tummy, but I could work around that with the right underwear, wear a long top over it, etc.
The problem I had was that the fabric was a lot less soft/stretchy than the usual FP henley fabric; the fabric was also a lot thicker than I imagined and I got a "prison feeling" when I put the dress on, particularly around the arms! The colour (rosewood) was also different than in the pictures; I know it is hard to show the exact colour in a photo, particularly on a computer, but this was actually quite a bit different. It looks like a dusty, cool pink with a hint of purple in the photos, but in reality it was a lot more of an intense pink, not "dusty", not at all purple-ish. Would have given one star if it wasn't for the fact that it is well made and good quality despite the fabric. So, all in all, this dress was a big disappointment for me and it is definitely going back :o(

love love love this dress! Immediately went online and ordered it in another color. It is sexy w/ a great length (touches the ground and I am 5'9"). Was a little worried about the reviewers who complained the material was too thin, but on receiving the dress I am not sure what they were talking about. Slim fitting but not so slim fitting as to make me uncomfortable (even with a slight post baby tummy that will remain w/ me forever :(. Ordered medium which was perfect for me - I am an 8-10 usually. Highly recommend

I generally wear an XS or SM. I ordered this in a SM cause I read the reviews and was worried that it wouldn't be flattering if it was tighter.... Definitely should have ordered the XS since the SM is too loose, so that it looks more like a nightgown than a dress. (I'm 5'9", 110lbs).
In addition, I ordered this dress in sand... It is NOT sand colored. The photos are very very deceptive. It's more of a fleshy color... As a caucasian person, the dress would basically just make me look naked from far away. :/ Pretty disappointed, since I do like the greyish off-white portrayed on the website.
That being said, when I first fell in love with this dress I saw it in the grey, but that color was sold out by the time I got around to placing my order. I'm going to exchange my Sm sand dress for an XS grey dress....
I'll let you know how I like that one! :) (I'll probably rate it 5 if I'm happy with the fit and color!)

This is my big love. Everyone said it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL on me. I bought it in cream color (will get the RED as well) @ Medium and fits perfectly. Only I had to cut it shorter though because I'm not too tall, like 5'3:) Best price with amazing look and quality.

I'm 5'5" and 135 lbs. My measurements are 34C, 28, 36. I normally wear a Small in Free People clothing, with the occasional exception, in which I wear an XS. I got the last size Medium in the grey color and I was really worried that it was going to be huge on me. Fortunately I was very lucky to have sized up, since this dress runs small and the Medium fits perfectly. If you size up, this dress is form fitting without being tight. It hugs your curves and has a really pretty neckline that sits close to the edges of the shoulders, showing off your neck & clavicle. It's a medium weight jersey material. I didn't find it to be thin at all; It's extremely comfortable and can be worn casually or dressed up. Since I sized up, the sleeves fit perfectly without being too tight. I think the 2 other reviewers who had an issue with their underwear showing would have felt differently if they'd sized up one size because I haven't had that issue at all. The dress runs small, so if I'd gotten my usual size Small, it would have been tight. It is very long. As I said, I'm 5'5" and it hangs about 2 inches on the ground, so I'll be cutting it. The bottom edge isn't hemmed - it's rough, so it can just be cut. The grey is actually a slate blue/grey color; it's not a true grey, which I'm so happy about. It's a really pretty color. I'll be getting this dress in the sand color and the green next!

...unfortunately my doubts started rising as soon as I opened the package. In real life, the dress looks like a nightgown you'd buy at a cheapo department store. The fit is unimpressive and the fabric is so thin you can see every seam in your underwear when you wear it. The price is really high for something made of thin cotton jersey, so I was hoping that the tailoring would be super impressive to make up for it, but alas it is not. I really don't understand why folks are raving over this dress, but it was a huge let down for me.

I had been coveting this dress for months and bought the very last one in a M. I usually wear a xs so it was such a surprise to find that the M was a snug fit. The material is a light/thin unforgiving to any curves cotton. I thought that it would have more structure, durablitily and weight. The seams fell in all the wrong places. I just couldn't make it work. If you buy this go a size or two bigger so it fits loose like on the model.

I do love this dress and it looks nice with the along the way denim jacket. I bought the medium as I didn't want it skin tight. It fits perfect, fitted but not painted on, close though!! I usually buy s or xs dresses from fp but this was an exception. It's definitely very revealing, without being rude, it does show all bumps and lumps and in my 40's I can't over eat in this dress! Even shows the shape of your underwear, so they need to be streamlined!! The sleeves are not too tight. It is long and as one reviewer mentioned, easy to shorten with the raw edge. Hhighlights the cleavage in a nice way. I am 36-37 inches around the bust and wear size 25 jeans. Hope this helps. The fabric and overall feel and look of this dress is really nice.
