"This piece is absolutely fabulous, but I believe it was intended to be worn as a dress, not a skirt. The pockets are set exactly right to wear it as a dress -- they are around knee height when it's worn as a skirt. Also, I saw it earlier in the season at the N. K. site as a dress.
You can, of course, wear it either way (if you're tall enough), but I've worn mine more often as a dress, since I don't have to worry about heels (or dragging it in the rain this winter) that way.
Don't make your purchase decision based upon it being too long to wear as a skirt without heels. It's a wonderful piece, high quality, and gorgeous.
I've also found it works well as a high waisted skirt . . . If you're between sizes, size down, but if you're a solid size, stick with your size would be y advice."

"I love this skirt.. I bought it a few months back on impulse and I'm so glad I did! I am curvy and short.. and yes, this skirt is too long, but I actually ended up tying a knot and the side and it still looks super cute. Worth the price even if you only wear it for special occasions!"

Love it, but WAY too short to wear it...

"I'm 5'2" and the dress was nearly as long as I am tall. Even pulling the waistband up under my bust there was still way too much fabric hanging on the ground. And honestly, as bulky/full as the skirt is, you really don't want to have to pull it up and then mess with finding an appropriate top to wear over the skirt. This one is strictly for the 5'7" and up club. (At least...) The train in the back does make this a skirt for indoor events only. Trying to wear this out and about would simply not work, although I love the look and when paired with a simple shirt, boots, and a beanie the look is grunge-chic-tastic. Worth every penny, imho. I found the waist to be quite large, and would recommend sizing down. This will reduce the bulk and length. I really, really wish I was 6 inches taller..."

"I had read the other reviews and went by what they said about the buying a size smaller. Well, I should have gone with the bigger but there would have been way too much fabric. Also upon closer inspection, I noticed the zipper is totally un-centered which for the price I would not expect. Unfortunately, it was a gift so I didn't have the receipt to exchange. I do love the skirt and can't wait to wear it, just need to hem it a little in the back to go with my height."

"I really wish this skirt could be mine. I tried it on at my local FP store and it is to die for!!! The skirt floats and flows behind you as you walk. I love the soft fabric and the gentle waistband. I am 5'9" and this skirt hit the floor perfectly for me when I put on 1.5" heel boots. I paraded around the store in it for 20 minutes before hesitantly returning it to the hanger. I so wish I could afford this piece."
