"I got these in black on sale about 6 weeks ago -- I would have gotten the taupe but only the black were available. Some of the pretty ruffle detail gets lost with the black... But no matter -- these are some of the MOST COMFORTABLE boots I have ever owned! Although I have a pathological weakness for 'em, boots can sometimes be intense to wear -- but not these babies. You can go all day and all night in them, and they were immediately this comfortable, too. Plus their tall height makes them versatile -- pull up for an over the knee look, or scrunch down for a different feel. BTW, i normally wear a 9 but something told me to size up a bit, and it turned out the 9.5 fit perfectly. for this reason I rated the sizing a bit small. Whatever -- a total deal t the sale price!"

I love these boots. I got my usual size, 8 1/2, in black. They were only slightly loose, but I am OK with that because I love boot socks (I also have narrow-ish feet with high arches)
The ruffles and buckles are the right amount of 'unique' without being overdone. They are quiet to walk in- no loud clicking. A lot of the flat styles like this tend to look a bit wonky, but the side zipper creates a feminine silhouette and makes it easy to get them on and off.
Yes, these are pricey, but I think the look of good quality suede speaks for itself. I am happy that the minor scuffs I have acquired were easily buffed off. I was able to wear them right out of the box, no uncomfortable 'break in' time.
I did notice some dark residue on my hands from the dye.. I haven't had any problems with dye transfer, but I'd recommend keeping an eye on lighter colored clothes, etc.. just in case."

"I love these boots. I got the black because the taupe is sold out. The black is very pretty I love the slight ruffle detail in the back. Versatile style can fold down, scrunch down a bit if you don' t want to always wear it high. Runs TTS."

"i had been looking for a pair of tall boots for a while that were cute but didn't have too much of a heel so i could wear them for a long period time. these are super cute and fit really well. the size fit me perfectly. the only thing is that they are a bit tall on me since i am only 5', so the boots go a bit above my knee, but they don't look bad by any means. i love the color and don't find it to look dirty or anything like that. i've gotten a lot of compliments on them. they're my new favorites."

"I have been searching for a unique boot that has some personality vs. very plain...I finally found what I was looking for! I am tall, with long legs, and I wear a size 8 in shoes. The 8 I ordered fits perfectly. I have gotten so many compliments. You will most likely either love the uneveness of the color (could be considered cheap-looking or dirty) or adore it. I think it's chic."
