"read the reviews and wasn't sure if i would like this or not, but i tried it on and loved it. mine is very soft and flattering...its perfect with tights, boots and a tank dress. i have thrown this on way more than i thought i would just to run errands around town. its perfect for your everyday wears."

adorable but itchy itchy!

"I tried on both colors and decided to go with the taupe color. LIke the other reviews said, it runs BIG. I like oversized clothing so I went with the medium. I received SO many compliments when I went in to work. I gave the sweater 4 stars because it is a tad itchy. I fixed that problem with wearing a long sleeve inside."

"WEll, I disagree with most of the other reviewers in that i LOVE this sweater. BUT I completely agree with the other gals on the fit-I am a big girl-a size 12-and the small, medium, and large ALL fit. It would never fit the way it does on the super thin model pictured if a SMALL fit me and is still oversized! They must have it pinned somehow on the front view photo. Anyway, I went with the super oversized fit of a large. I love how slouchy it is, and I am wearing the vivaldi slip underneath. It peaks out just enough to make the sweater feminine, and looks really good with skinny jeans or leggings, something to throw on quickly and still look put together and warm. So I would say that most people will need to size down one or two sizes, and that it may not work for the very petite. Works for larger, curvy frames."

"Picked this up at the local FP and absolutely love it! I got an extra small and it just hangs o so perfectly on my body. Just short enough to give it of a sexy feel when worn with a lacy slip, but comforty enough to travel in with jeans. Great sweater!! I agree though that the catalog picture is a better representation of how it fits then the model pics. Comparing the two pics though OBVIOUSLY the catalog pic it waaaaaay cuter! Who wouldn't want to be her!?! :) another success by FP!"

TOO FREAKIN' CUTE!

"Okay, I've got a lot to say. Hah! I tried these on in the store (but purchased online for a better price with a birthday discount). Usually when it comes to oversized items I will size down (usually I am a size Large in most Free People clothing, 5'4" 160lbs curvy). I tried this on in medium, but for me I thought it just laid kinda funny on me. I then tried it in Large and I thought the patterns and cut just laid in a better spot on me than the next size down. Since I'm short, and it's a larger size, it definitely is longer on me than shown on the model, it comes to maybe mid-thigh, but itâ??s just SUCH an amazing sweater for the cold winters or a cabin in the snow (like it snows in L.A.!). And it's VERY soft, not itchy at all. I purchased this in both colors, the steel and taupe, the color looks exactly as pictured and I love 'em both!"

"Yeah this sweater is big but i wear it as a sweater dress! It looks so cute! I wear it with ruffled leggings and short boots. I got a million compliments on my outfit. It's perfect for the cold. All I suggest is going down a size, but I enjoy how roomy it is. If you don't have a chest it might swallow you though so go with the xs. Other than that, no complaints."

"I was really surprised to read the other comments on this sweater! I ordered this in the steel in an xs and it is the cutest comfiest sweater I have ever boughten. I wore it the other day with a slip, tights, knee socks and knee boots and I received several compliments on how great it was. It is oversized but that was what I loved about it! It fits more like the catalog picture than on ones posted on the site so I would go by that for reference."

"This isn't the only top on this site with a wide stripe around the rear. What gives FP??? Has your entire design team gone mad? (Or blind???) This is unflattering on ANY shape. Even the model looks awful. I tried this on thinking "No way this could look as bad in person as it does online!" Wrong! About a thousand times worse. The fit is tragic. It packs on pounds because of that silly stripe and the boxy body. If you're preggo, this would be great I suppose, but even then, you might look bigger than you are. Disclaimer: I LOOOOVeeee oversized sweaters. I have several from FP, but the last month has been one dud after another. On top of everything, this guy is itchy as all get out. Stay away, save your money, and FP, knock it out. LOL at the price tag on this monstrosity."
