Beautiful, but it doesn't work

"This dress is so so so gorgeous, and it broke my heart to return it, but it had to be done. the fit is just SO off. The crochet lace part is not connected to the skirt at all, and while the skirt is fitted at the waist, the crochet detail just sort of hands there like a baggy t-shirt. i ended up looking like a white rectangle. it is MUCH longer than 44.5 inches...this dress went almost down to my ankles and i'm 5'5". it just wasn't flattering at all on me. It made me look like a christian academy prom queen or something...such a shame. it is beautifully made, definitely worth the price tag, i'm just sad that it didn't work out for me."

"I love this dress! It is amazing so glad I was able to snatch one. I am usually a Medium but only a large was available at the time so I ordered it. It is a little lose on (being that I ordered a size up) but I like the way it flows. For a more fitted fit, I also ordered a belt to wear with it; shown below. I love this dress with and without the belt. I am 5'11 and the length is exactly like the model. The color is not as white as shown in the picture. It has a vintage feel to it. And the lace/sequin top are absolutely beautiful and go perfect with the tulle bottom. The inside slip is a pretty shimmery nude color and feels very soft and silky. This dress is perfect for the holidays but, maybe I will save it for my wedding rehearsal or even wear it as a reception dress...."

"This dress is lovely, but I had to send it back. The delicate crochet top is not connected to the flesh tone shell at the bottom, which meant that it hung loose like a shirt. It was not fitted, so it made me look boxy and wide. If you want to tailor it to taper at the waist, it could be form fitting. For the price, I didn't want to pay to get it tailored. Also, the top was a bit short waisted for me, which was strange since I am short waisted; however, I am also busty, so that may have been a factor. (32D, 26' waist, 120 lbs) I found the length to be problematic. I'm 5'2 and have long legs and a shorter torso, but it still came down to my ankles almost. I don't think the length will be flattering on most people. Keep in mind that it's pretty long on the model, so you know that unless you are that tall, it will appear longer on you. Other than that, the dress was well made and detailed. Be aware that it is a rich cream color, not white as the photographs appear. If the crochet bodice had darts or tapered at the sides and the length was shortened, it would be a lovely piece. With a few alterations, it could work."
