I'm about 5'8" and pretty slender. I have some hips, and am tiny on top, so this shape is usually my go-to. I wear a 4-6 and ordered a small.
I'll start off by saying the color of the dress is beautiful. It's a bit deeper than the picture, and darker at the bottom. That said, the dress is, indeed, 100% rayon. It has no stretch, and feels like the kind of dress you would buy for $25...not $250. It's lack of stretch ruins what would be a potentially great shape by making the top boxy and ill fitting. Even the give of 100% cotton would have been enough to fix this! The sleeves are too long to be 3/4 and too short to be full length. The length of the dress varies, and is much shorter on the sides than in the front and back. As a result, the dress is, in effect, about 4" shorter than listed, making it completely inappropriate for any sort of family event if you are over 5'5". I returned it, as I could not justify spending so much on a so-so dress.

A few people have asked what the fabric content of this dress is, and whether it's a knit or woven fabric. This was a question I had before ordering as well, so I called the local FP store to ask, but they didn't know either. The dress arrived tonight, and I can report that it is 100% rayon, and is woven, not knit. The care instructions are to hand wash cold and line dry in the shade, or "gentle dry clean," whatever that means.
There is no stretch to the fabric at all, but I was pleased to find that the size I ordered fit. I normally wear a size 10 and oredered a Large. The dress itself is actually labeled "US 8 / AUS-NZ 12" but I'd say it fits like a 10. I was happy there was enough ease in the shoulders that the fit is not binding, which tends to be a pet peeve of mine with very tailored non-stretch garments. Another plus is that the waist is nicely fitted, not too loose or baggy nor too tight. The sleeves are actually almost wrist length - the model is wearing them pushed up.
Cons - the color gradient is less smooth than it looks in the photo... it's a more abrupt band of dark. Overall I would say that the dress is overpriced, and not really fantastic enough to justify how expensive it is. But on the other hand, I like it well enough that I'll probably keep it anyway.
