an extra idea... could take it to a shoe repair and have them weather proof it. Or buy a can of spray at a local "Red Bull's Eye" and spray it to prevent stains and make it easier to spot clean.

Omigosh!!!!! cinders!!! yay!!! it is literally my fav bag ever....and that is saying something!!! but about the cleaning....uh...hmm...hadn't really considered that, but that being said, i might take it to my dry cleaner and ask him if it started to look shabby... it's a good color though...it's not 2 lite so I think it will b fine. XOXO

I haven't been to the Santa Monica store. Usually frequent the one at The Americana, who also have sweet/nice girls that are so helpful. (found the bag at the Brentwood store) ~ I hope I can keep the bag clean and nice looking. I always have a stack of baby wipes on hand to help with spot cleaning for most things.

Had about 4 things in hand today... but there is so much I want from the April catalog and I really was after the crochet bag, so I purchased nothing!!! They did however have the long embroidered lace dress (as seen in blog pics) in black and ivory and it is AMAZING!!! They didn't have my size : ( I hope it eventually goes online.

Cinders...u must have purchased other FP goods, if not, u have remarkable restraint!! Wish I had access to an FP, however, I visit the one on Main St. in Santa Monica when I am in Cali. The girls there are sweet and helpful!

sisters!!! I got the bag! Only made it to 1 fp boutique today... but the other store replied to my fb comment and they had ONE left! Called them immediately, gave them my info and it will ship out Monday. I should have it to later than Wednesday!!!! Can. Not Wait. ~ Movy, you're next! cinders, my precious cinders, i swear to u i u do not order that beg this day, u will b haunted by it forever!!! the bag atually spoke to me last nite to make sure i passed this message onto u!!! XOXO but seriously, u will die for it;. it isnt lined but has a really sturdy laminated cardboard base and the weave is so tite the sides r fine w/out lining/ also it has 2 inner pockets that latch and 2 big wooden charms that dangle from the side.XOXO
