"I do not usually like longer dresses, but I absolutely adore this (as does my boyfriend-- it is especially flattering with a belt)! I ordered it in black. As others have mentioned, it is a deeper black in person. Although it does come with quite a bit of fabric, I was able to get away with the medium (5'8", 34C, 130lbs). Naturally, I HAD to wear it the moment it arrived... which turned out to be the only windy day we've had in weeks. Word to the wise: wear something (lace shorts, a slip, etc.) under this dress if you expect to be caught in any sort of wind. I love the high openings along the sides, but that combined with the (wonderfully comfortable) light material may lead to you giving unanticipated free shows. I ended up tying the front piece securely around the back of my legs: this made it much shorter in the front, but even with a knot in the back, it still looked great! Very versatile piece! I highly recommend making this a part of your spring wardrobe!"

"I just recieved my dress in black and I love it. I can't wait to wear it this summer. Yes, the dress is oversized. I am 5'10 and I weigh around 155. I ordered the dress in small. The dress is perfect in length but there's A LOT of extra material. I love the way it looks so I put a fitted belt on and the dress became awesome. After gathering the material in the front and back it exposed my legs on both sides...like the picture to the left. The look is totally hot. LOVE IT!!"

"i was so excited to get this dress because it looked like a simple summer dress but was a bit wrong. i got the dress in black and that was my first mistake because of the fact that this dress loves pet hair. in the pictures this dress's fabric looks like a nice clean light jersey cotton which was why i wanted it and its very similar but so staticy and that was exactly what i was trying to avoid and thats why i got this dress. so i cant wear it in the house because of all the dog hair and i can't stand it. another thing about this dress is so much heavier than it looks which was another original reason for getting it, thinking it wasn't. all this aside the dress does fit very nicely and it does look beautiful on all body types even short people which is nice because i'm only 5'3. i think the dress is just a little impractical for my life right now but its still a keeper."

"I'm pleased with this dress and look forward to wearing it. However, it is a bit short on the sides I'm 5'8 and I'll have to wear it with leggings. Yet, again I'm going through menopause and with hot flashes and all I know I'll be wearing this dress "freely" in the warmth of Carolina's Summer."

"This dress is super fun, super flowy, and very cool for the summer heat. Not really something that can be carried over into fall though as it would look quite silly layered. The fit is free, so size based on how loose you want this to be. A size down fit me about like the model. Note: Taller girls might not want to size down because the side opening is kinda high up."

Lost in a Sea of Blue Fabric

"Lovely fabric and color, but wow, I was virtually SWIMMING in this dress! To call it voluminous was an understatement. I normally wear a large and I was drowning in yards of seafoam blue! Not flattering (more like FATTERING! LOL) - too bad, because it was so pretty on the hanger!"

"I love this dress, got it in the black and wow does it look good. All you big gals out there will love this, yeah Free People. This dress hangs beautifully and the weight of the fabric adds to the hang. One caveat, do NOT hang this dress up, the straps will stretch and you don't want that."

"LOVE this dress. Fabric is light and flowy, yet is has some good weight to it, so it hangs nicely. The tie straps are great for adjusting. I purchased the black and couldn't be happier. Throw on a cardi and it's great dress for a night out to dinner. Love the versatility. Runs a bit big, so you could size down if needed. If you are on the fence, definitely buy this dress!"
