Rated 5 out of 5Â by Sowilo Amazing I loved this so much I bought another one! I have fine hair, but a lot of it, and it was able to hold about half of my hair back. While it was a little fussy trying to get it closed, once it was in it stayed in! I have the purple and turqiouse ones and they are beautiful. I wouldn't recommend trying to pull back a lot of hair if you have thicker hair, though. 9.4.2012

Rated 2 out of 5Â by heartillynne Not for girls with thick hair I got the hairslide in turquoise - ordered it from the store and got it shipped. It's very beautiful. However, it is definitely not for girls with thick, voluminous hair (I have long Asian hair). I was disappointed because the previous reviews said it held hair pretty well - maybe that was for girls with fine hair. The barrette snapped when I tried clipping barely half of my hair! I was able to put it back into place and clipped less of my hair and held.. only for an hour or so, as it snapped and sprung off my head! 6.17.2012

This piece is very well made with a nice strong barrette. This can also hold a good amount of hair, and stays in place nicely. Most defiantly getting another :) 5.9.2012

Rated 5 out of 5Â by nightsky glad i got this one... absolutely beautiful in the turquoise color that i purchased. wonderful beadwork and well matched to it's photo. anyone with rather thick hair should know that this barette alone will not hold a lot of hair but would couple nicely as a cover up to something more secure. regardless, i would certainly recommend this piece. 4.27.2012

The beadwork is done on a vinyl backing which covers the clip. It seems to be well made and stays put when it is clipped on. Worth the money! 4.15.2012
