amazing everyday boots.

"after being surprised with an added $92 customs bill, i thought to myself that these boots better be worth it. they ARE!!! i love them. yes, they are more of a true black then pictured, but i look forward to distressing them myself over time. i am consistently a size 8 and i find these very true to size. being leather they will stretch out. certainly they are a "tad" tight, but they are brand new and that is to be expected. i almost ordered a size up after reading all of the reviews, but i am glad i stuck to old faithful #8. my ONLY irritation with these boots are that the tiny snaps that keep the buckles attached to the boot have been snapping off. i have been able to easily snap them back on, but still... slightly annoying as i have worn them twice. and truthfully they arrived that way. and for that reason alone i have to give them a 4 star instead of a 5. today i wore them with the FP voile trapeze slip, cropped sweater, a vintage rhinestone collar and over the knee socks."

"Went as size up as others have stated and they fit perfect! Agree that mine are black and not distressed. My concern however; seems that the heel was cut too low for the sole- I get a "pad-dah" heel-toe experience when I walk- like perhaps the arch is broken in two (but it's not). But- they look great so I'm keeping them and have worn 3 times in a month already."

"i followed the description and reviews and sized up. it still has quite a bit of toe room, but it's not big enough to be loose so i guess it does run a bit small. like other reviews stated, there's very little distressing on them. the boots are a bit more pointy than i realized. they seem comfy enough. my biggest issue is that one of the studs by the buckles was missing, so i have to send it back and now it's out of stock in my size. boo."

"The boots that I received were black and not as distressed as pictured. As most other reviewers have mentioned, these boots run small. I normally wear size 6 1/2 and go up to 7 if the boots come in whole sizes only. On the recommendation of the customer service rep, I ordered a size 7. My left foot is about 1/2 size smaller than my right foot. The left boot is actually shorter in length than the right boot. When walking in these boots, there is less room for my toes in the left boot and my big toe touches the end of the boot. The right boot is more comfortable to walk in because it is slightly larger than the left boot. Despite this discrepancy, I decided to keep the boots because I like the style and it would be too expensive to mail back. I have worn the boots out and my feet don't hurt from wearing them but I could have used more room in the toe area. I don't know if going up to a size 8 would have helped because I think they would have been too loose in the heel. I will probably get the left boot stretched."

Awesome boots!!

"I watched this boots for a month and watched them sell out. When they came back in stock I knew I had to buy them. I am normally a 7.5 so I bought an 8. The right foot fit fine but my left boot (which is bigger than my right) killed my foot. I had to wait for them to come back in stock yet again to get a 9 and now I have the perfect ankle boot! Definitely size up regardless. My right foot even feels better in the 9's."

"So I received these boots in a black size 9, a size larger than my normal 8. I am extremely disappointed. I never size up and did in this case but regret it. I can pull the boots off without unbuckling them and my foot slides around. To make things worse, one boot is perfect while the other one looks like its been worn for a season. The left boot has scuff marks (which I could care less about on "distressed" leather) that are poorly "covered" up by a black polish pen. The pen markings make the shoe look cheap. The left boot is also heavily deformed and creased. The soles on the boots are uneven and make for an awkward arch position. I'm going to exchange them for an 8, and hopefully have better luck. I am so disappointed in this particular pair."

"I am waiting for these boots to come, I ordered the black as I have lots of distressed brown boots (all FP) Has anyone tried boot stretchers on these? The stretchers WORK! My right foot is one size larger than my left so all of my right shoes/boots usually need stretching. Be patient, and your most miserable fitting can be great."

"..I just ordered my second pair! Style wise they go with everything, they are super comfortable and not the least bit bulky or clunky. I bought the brown when they first came out and I wear them all the time - except when I need black footwear - ergo, I just bought the black ones so now I NEVER have to wear anything else! They do run small - even a full size up is snug on me, even broken in, so keep that in mind when ordering. A wonderful investment - totally worth the price!"
