by Reyna_famy Poor checking on item
I ordered 2, the black and taupe. I received the black pair today because the taupe is still on back order. I opened the box and I was instantly in love. Tried on the right sandal and i had to adjust the laces to my fit...then I tried on the left one...I could barely get the zipper down and the lacing was all tangled. I was scared I was going to break the zipper. The zipper gets stuck and it's so hard to get it to go up or down. Then I noticed the lacing was off... Had to redo the whole thing...it was very annoying and upsetting that they would not check the product first and made sure that it was good to go.. I can't even undo the zipper without putting an indention in my fingers. While I was undoing all the suede string it started coming apart and I got little chunks of suede all over my leg. Also it's not one piece of suede string... It looks as if parts of it are sewn together. I hope these don't break on me. I can barely get the zipper to go up and down. Is there anything I can do to fix that problem?
Over all I would rate the sandal a perfect 5 based on looks.
It was true to size to me. They looked and felt amazing!
Due to the left sandal being so difficult to zip down or up and how bad it was packaged I would rate it a 1. For a sandal to be this expensive and sent to me like this is not good customer service. I hope my taupe ones don't have the same problem...

I just love them! If you are between sizes make sure you size down, because it runs big. The lace is not put on properly like it's shown in the picture, you actually have to fix it, or you can just wear it the way the it is, no problem. Putting it on is challenging but once you do it, make sure you tie it on the front when you're taking it off, so the next time you try to put it on, you can just use the zipper behind, no mess at all! So overall, once you set it right, you're good to go! It's definitely worth one time trouble. The fitting is awesome, wraps your leg, just perfect.

by Rinkadink131 Love them but not worth the price
I have been eye balling these shoes for 2 years now and I finally got a full time job so I can afford some what expensive closes (i'm 18, turning 19 in a month and going into my second year of college) now I ordered these shoes a week ago, taupe in size euro 37 (I am a size 7) yes they are very roomy but im not too worried about that because of how tight they are to my calfs so when my whole leg goes up so does the shoe so im not worried about stumbling or stubbing the shoes. My two problems with them are as followed
1) When I received them they came horribly. There was no care what so ever to these shoes ( makes me think where my 139 dollars went too...) And I was very disappointed in the sole of the shoe. its just plastic, plastic I would find at a forever 21 or something like that. When I undid the laces in both shoes it was a struggle. The swade string is not one piece but many pieces glued together, I was very careful unraveling them and some how one of the pieces got undone. Its not a problem though my mom is going to put fabric glue on it and sow it back up for me for extra protection.
My second concern (witch i see other girls will argue otherwise) I have muscular calves... I played soccer when I was younger and I did track and cross country. Im a tiny girl being my 5ft height so my calves are smaller then most other girls but for my body a little on the muscular side ( and my legs are something im very proud of so the shoes kind of offended me haha) When i tried to zipper the shoes after lacing them they would not zip, i kept making it looser and looser still wouldn't zip. I finally got them too and they are very very very tight on me. I wore them for 20 minutes and walked around then took them off and they left marks all over my legs. I let my skin settle down and i re did them all over again. Ive been wearing them for an hour now just trying to get used to them.
I really like these shoes and I will probably not return them because I am growing to like them ( slowly) Im just very upset over the price. These shoes are not 139 material. I wanted them long enough and can support my self to where I can splurge on items like this but i'm very disappointed with how much I spent on these...
also if you plan on buying these just note you need a good 15 minutes just to put them on.
would i recommend these? yes! but id tell the person my struggles with them. I wanted these out of any other gladiator ive seen because of the look, So much nicer then Steve madden or any other website that sells gladiators.

I fell in love with those sandals when i saw them online & had to have them. Got them in black & unfortunately when i received them, i tried adjusting the lace to be able to try them but couldn't. The lace was so poorly made & stitched, it wouldn't move through the small holes. After one hour of trying & afraid to rip the lace, i gave up & now have to send them back.I also had black powder all over my hands, legs, and living room from the suede, i actually had to clean the room after my unsuccessful attempt to wear them. It's a pity that such a beautiful & stylish sandal would be so poorly made despite it's expensive price.

Aesthetically these sandals look great, especially if you like to mix the look with feminine pieces. Originally I wanted the khaki but the color was sold out. I purchased the taupe through a Chicago store and the parcel arrived quickly. They were already laced, but I still had to adjust the laces to fit snugly. I'm pretty happy with the taupe, they can be mixed with a lot of colors and I love how the style adds extra edge to your outfit.
The laces appear to be strips of leather sewn together instead of being one continuous piece. Because of this, the seams create a bulge and get stuck between the eyelets, so initially lacing them is cumbersome.
The soles are my least favorite part of the shoe, they appear to be plastic, look/feel cheap. I wouldn't have mind paying a little more for a better quality sole.
The suede itself is ok, but does feel thin. The front of sole extends farther than normal, so yes, order one size down. I wear 6.5/7 shoes, ordered the 7, sole a little long. I wouldn't say the sandal feels loose, but it is a little big. It's not a deal breaker, but something to be mindful of.
Great looking shoe, you will get compliments. I don't advise using for any rigorous activities, just for casual walks or sitting and looking pretty. I'm considering ordering the black pair.

I was checking those shoes since a few weeks and always hesitating about the purchase (are they "too much" for wearing them in a small Swiss countryside area ?). And finally I decided to go ahead and to buy them. And you know what ? I'm super super happy because they are absolutely gorgeous. Okay, it took me about five years until I could put them on cause I had to make all the lace loose to put my calf in there (I have big sporty calfs because of running and walking a lot). Then the zip of one of the shoe was difficult to put down on the five last centimeters. Ah and some parts of the tie are thicker (I think it's because the tie is made out of two ties that are glued together somewhere). So the thicker parts are really difficult to slide through the little holes. I was hoping that the tie stays in one piece while pulling it through the hole. But anyways, once it's done, it's absolutely perfect. I wanted them in taupe but they were not available in my size. So I took black and finally I'm happy cause they fit with everything. I'm usually between 36 and 37 (37 in shoes I wear with socks and 36 in sandals) and those 36 ones are big. It's okay cause the foot is well held but don't hesitate to size down. You can see on my picture that there is space in front of my toes. And for wide feet, it's maybe not perfect either. On my picture you can also see that my feet have just enough space on the sides. But it's still comfy so it doesn't matter.

I thought these would be awesome, but they weren't. Quality was bad and they were already falling apart right out of the box. Like literally the straps were barely held together

I am in love. These shoes have filled the gladiator-wrap-sandal hole in my life. I was hesitant about purchasing these sandals since I have a slightly curvier calf (15.75 in circumfrence) and my history with tall shoes is hit or miss. I'm so glad I took the chane. The laces would have been a little helpful if they were a little longer to get a similar wrap top tie like in the images, but the sandals close comfortably with the length of laces provided. The material is soft and overall the fit is very comfortable. I would definitely suggest completely taking the laces out the first time you fit these to your leg! It will save yourself a headache. I get complimented whenever I wear these sandals! They are a fun way to liven up any outfit.
