purchased in black. great boot. the mix of leather and suede is a nice touch. they are narrow and seem to be a bit snug even in length. i am a 6.5-7 bought the 37 just purchased the 38 will have to wait and see how the larger size fits but definitely keeping one of them!! many options as to tying them the laces do seem a bit waxy sure they will also loosen up once worn in. they are well constructed stitching is good and love the sole of the boot *is very slippery though* either have to scuff them up well before going on wood floors or concrete or buy some grips for the bottom!

i got these boots in black and wore them until they couldn't be worn anymore! I live in NYC which means a ton of walking. I'm normally pretty rough on shoes but these boots lasted WAY longer than any other company I've worn. I'm an 8.5M and the 39 fit perfect in length and width. I highly recommend!

I saw these online and HAD to have them. They're the perfect simple black boot - so versatile and so cute. I love the weathered look.
I got an 8 and it was a little bit tight BUT after like 5 wears it starts to stretch a little from your foot which is nice because it's like a little customized shoe just for you! ...silly for me to love this? yes probably. :)
if I was going only on looks I'd give this all stars. But there's a major issue I have with these.
The metal brackets (not sure what the term is - not the holes but the little lips) have ruined TWO pairs of laces. I've worn them 6 times in three weeks. The brackets are SO incredibly sharp and bent outwards so they catch a the loop of a lace and rip it into two. I've tried to push them in so they aren't sticking out so wide but they're really hard to squish down.
I typically wouldn't be bothered - and maybe it was just my pair - but for the cost of these boots and for them to come from FP I definitely hold them to a higher standard. I LOVE FP and will obviously always be a loving costumer. Just a little disappointed in this purchase for those reasons.

If you've been searching far and wide for the perfect pair of boots you've found them. They are so comfy and literally go with anything and everything. I highly recommend these boots!!!!

I saw these shoes first time on a girl at a mall and I instantly fell in love with her entire outfit (FP head to toe) I thought these booties are very versatile and pretty much go well with any clothes, from dresses to skinnies and shorts. Must say that the material is very stiff, but believe it will soften up over time. My size is 8.5 so I went with 39, and they fit perfectly.
Can't wait to ware them :)
Rated 5 out of 5Â by maebug Just what I was looking for
I was looking for a good flat leather ankle boot that would be comfortable ( I do a lot of walking around town). I was hesitant at first because others said the leather was stiff. I normally wear a 9 and I ordered a 40. I tried them on with a thick wool sock and they still fit comfortably. I put them on then went out to run errands and I didn't even have to break them in, they felt comfortable from the start! This was just what I was looking for and i think the price is reasonable for the quality.

I agree the leather is pretty stiff for what I was expecting. One of the hooks on the right boot was bent so that the shoelace can't fit inside. I'm usually a 37-38 and ordered the 37 but it was way too big. Maybe the other reviewers have been trying these on with thick socks. I'm returning and asking for the 36.
Also the real color of the black pair is definitely blue-ish like the first photo.
Petty complaints aside, I think it's still a cute boot, and I hope the 36s work out for me.

Loved the shape, but the leather feels like it'd been soaked in salt water to get that roughed-up look. Stiff as a board, and more worn-looking than I would've liked. The photos with the black leggings are kinder to these boots than the single photo with the sparkly skirt. The toe is curled upward too, as if someone had walked in the surf and then not used a shoe tree when the boots dried out. Meh.
