I got my Birkenstocks in the gorgeous berry colour. Love them, they are a classic. However, I will be exchanging them for a smaller size because they run large.

I got these birks in the beautiful rusty purple colour and they are so nice. Its the first time I've had birkenstocks so they felt a bit weird at first because they feel massive on your feet but you get used to it.
I am normally a euro 41 and so I got these in my normal size and they fit perfectly, with a little space at the back and front like they're meant to have.
Buy them now!

Normally. 38 Euro in Birkies, Aus 7-7 1/2. According to Birkenstock Aust there should be space at the front and back of the shoe not jammed up as per the picture. Mine also fit like that however with the correct amount of space at the heel. If I sized up they would be way to big as I already have the straps tightened as much as possible. The colour is gorgeous. Not sure about these yet.

This is admittedly my first pair of Birkenstocks ever. I've honestly never found them to be attractive shoes. And they're sort of the opposite of "sexy" in most people's minds. However, I have two herniated discs and I live in the desert, and in the following months, it will be too hot for even socks, so no sneakers - and no flip flops, since I now need the cushioning when I walk. Therefore: Birkenstocks.
These are okay as far as they go, and probably nicer than most. The color is just as it appears in the pictures, a rich dark wine color. The leather straps, however, are very stiff. I'm assuming they will soften up over time. The shoe base is longer than I'd expected, and I even sized down since I won't be wearing socks. However, the toe ridges are placed so that if I were to size down again, the ridges would be underneath my toe pads rather than between them and the ball of my foot, where they're supposed to be. So they're oddly placed and I'm stuck with a very roomy shoe. Fortunately, the straps are adjustable, so I'm confident that this will more or less even out over time.
