Hacienda Bag 2.7 5 3 3
My fun bag I agree, this bag is overpriced, but I fell in love with it when I saw it at the store. I have the green one as pictured, however my leather strap is black, not brown. Also, my strap seems longer. I can easily wear it crossbodied. I prefer my bag to the one pictured. Complaints: 1. This bag is not really 'cotton,' like advertised. According to the tag it's "50% acrylic, 40% polyester, and 10% cotton." 2. My bag had a funky smell to it at first, I'm not sure if that smell faded over time or I maybe just got used to it. 3. I wish this had some kind of inside pocket. I'm seriously digging deep to find things when I use it. BUT overall, I DO recommend this bag and I don't regret buying it. 9.18.2011
Underwhelmed Had tried to purchase this bag in the multicolored version from the Spring catalog and it had sold out. Was excited to see it offered again. Very bummed when I got the bag. It is aesthically a pretty bag, but for the price i think it should have been lined or had some type of closure on the inside. The leather strap is beautifully tooled but unfortunately it didnt compensate for the bag itself. Sadly going back to FP. 6.9.2011
worst Free People purchase ever I have bought probably 10 bags from Free People and been very happy with the design and quality in general. When I saw the Hacienda and the other FlockOne bag, the Rio Brillante, online they looked so cute that I ordered both. The Rio Brillante was on backorder so I received the Hacienda first. It was like a $5 or $10 bag with a belt attached to it. Very cheaply made and NOT "Cotton, Leather" as it states in the description but also constructed of manmade materials as well. I returned it to my local Free People store where the clerk stated what i thought -- that it was an overpriced and cheaply made bag and she would not pay even anywhere near half of the $78 for it. The store did have the Rio Brilliante bag in stock and it was the same story -- very cheaply made and astonishingly priced at $98. After returning the Hacienda I cancelled my backorder for the Rio. I hope Free People discontinues selling this line. 6.9.2011
