by ruthiebaudoin The perfect party dress!
bought this adorable piece of art for my boyfriend's surprise birthday party - that's us back to back hobnobbing - SOOO many compliments. I'm not that large up top, so I did not wear a bra and it was fine for me. I wore two different length drop pearl necklaces with it to fill in the low v-neck (other photo). The fabric flows so femininely when one walks and the butterfly sleeves whisper as one sashays - just enough sexy. My normal size 0 fit perfect.

There is one golden rule I follow regarding FP, which is that 0/XS is not always the perfect size. I'm a true 0/XS (32-24-34.5, 5'3), with average leg length and a longer torso, so while the 0/XS is usually more form fitting, the 2/S tends to drape on me exactly like the model pictures and suits the FP aesthetic. There usually is a big difference in the shoulder->waistline distance between size 0 to sz 2 dresses, changing how it will sit on your torso. Judging from fpme/instagram posts/other retailers (modeled in anywhere from size 0-4), sizing down = a shorter twist and narrower waist-band, which causes the band to pull taut higher on the waist - this reduces the vertical length of the cutout and pulls the skirt upwards, squaring it's shape. While some people may prefer this, elongated silhouettes flatter my narrow waist, so when I went about on my search for this dress, my goal was to achieve a similar cutout gap as seen on the model, so do keep that difference in mind. The sz 2's bust panel is fitted without being skin-tight, while the skirt band is ever so slightly loose enough so that it falls lower on my natural waistline, giving me the same look as in the model pictures.
My only criticism of this dress is it looks much better in motion. The model is tugging on the skirt while walking, which makes the slits extend above the knee. On me, it's an ankle-length maxi with calf-length slits - but otherwise the skirt falls flatly even while moving - one would have to swish the skirt around/hitch it to thigh length to get the same effect as in the photos. (But it does looks amazing hitched up if you are sitting down :) ) A previous reviewer mentioned pinning the skirt panels, which I'm considering to add motion/visual interest. Otherwise, I love the breezy chiffon pattern - when seen in person, the Daylight/Ivory shade won me over immediately - I wear a LOT of black and was looking for a creamy, ethereal floral dress. With the moonlight colourway, there is too much difference between the dark and lighter blue/grey panels for my liking. However it is still a beautiful dress.

Not the easiest dress to get into but its a lovely dress. very classy and tasteful. I'm short at 5ft tall so the hemline was a little long but I expected as much. The only issue is that it requires a little tailoring on the top. It is too big around my rib cage (by about 1.5 inches) so when I move it very obviously shows my bra... a lot of it. Thankfully I'm a good seamstress so not a problem but if anyone else is large busted with a small rib cage you may have to do the same.

I went with the 2 hoping it would run a little small as some of the FPME users mentioned. The back panel/bust area is a little big for me, so I think sticking to my normal size 0 would have been best.
The dress is delicate and ethereal - and any skin shown is tasteful and elegant! Love, love, love the dress!

I bought this beautiful dress at the Free People pop up shop in Sydney, Australia. I got it in the cream in a size 10 which is equal to an Australian 12 and it fits perfectly! This has to be my favourite dress in my closet right now and I had sooooo many people stop to ask me where I got it from the first time I wore it out. This dress is so flattering for hourglass/pear figures or for those who want to accentuate curves. It is so easy to make casual with some sandals or boots and a leather jacket and fedora hat, or can easily be dressed up with some heels and some statement jewellery. The only little thing I found, was that the back of the top sometimes starts to shift up, but nothing a little fashion tape won't fix. If you look after this dress it will for sure last! Such a beautiful purchase, i'm so happy!

by daniellegbecker Pretty yet completely fell apart
I ordered this dress for my birthday party. I really loved it but maybe an hour in, I realized it was coming apart along the seam underneath the chest and the knot in the front middle. For the amount of money I spent, it's ludicrous that it fell apart at all, let alone a few hours after putting it on. It's impossible to wear it again. I was going to try and sew it myself but the fabric is frilly, tearing, and such a mess. I am so upset that I spent ALL this money on a dress that didn't last 4 hours.

This dress is feminine, unique, and very sexy. It is light weight, the cut-outs in the waist and slits in the skirt make it the perfect dress for a hot summer day or night.
I took this on my honeymoon, it packs well and looks great with heals or sandals.
I am a size 8, it fits very true to size. Busty girls be prepared to show a little ;) with the low-cut neckline.

I ordered this dress about a month ago. I tried it on, it fit perfectly, so off into the closet it went. I wore it once and got SO many complements on it, but a few hours later I realized it was coming apart along a few of the seams. For this much money, that's absolutely ridiculous!!! Beware of shotty workmanship. The material is so delicate that wearing this dress more than once is almost impossible.
Such a sad experience for SO MUCH money
