Rated 5 out of 5 by Adore! This belt is stunning, however it does definitely run a bit small - but not too small. I would say that anyone that wears sz.10 or under can wear this as an actual hip belt - but would not be suited for anyone as an actual hip belt, but rather a "low waist belt"... Regardless, I am a sz.8 and it works for me. I LOVE it - and I bought it in both colors... The black belt does have the copper hardware, which is fine with me, but for anyone looking for a black belt with silver or gold hardware should not go with this one...HTH! 11.27.2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Runs very small for a hip belt Read the previous reviews but decided to go ahead with the order as seemed like the kind of belt that I needed! I'm a 29" waist in jeans and find this belt too small to be worn at the hips but can be worn at the waste however, will be punching in an extra hole for added comfort. A shame as should definitely not be sized as an M/L but more S/M. Is a gorgeous belt though, so if you are on the smaller side, it's one to have! 6.5.2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice belt I bought the brown one in m/l. It is on the small side, I cannot wear it on the hips using the first hole, if using the last one it does not look good (the symmetry of the metal discs is lost). Still a nice looking belt and pretty good quality. 4.15.2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointing The belt arrived with the hook broken and is therefore unusable. I am utterly disappointed. I have been a regular Free People customer, but am noticing that quality control leaves to be desired recently. Did anyone not check this belt before sending it to me? This is unacceptable. I am returning it. 2.16.2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Attractive accessory that transforms an outfit For comparison: I am UK 14/16, FP M/L 10/12 in skirts & dresses, 31 in jeans. I got this in the M/L which is the same size I bought the Moto Hip Belt in, and if you want to compare, this runs a little smaller, but it fits me fine. The leather is supple and comfortable to wear, if not the finest quality. The metal is, as the previous reviewer mentioned, a pinker copper colour than the screen image shows. I would have preferred yellower metal but it still looks nice. There is a bit of a design flaw: with the ultra symmetrical features front and back, if you can't do it up on the tightest hole (I can't!), the front and back circles end up off centre and you have to jiggle it about to get an acceptable approximation with both views. The Moto hip belt got around this by having two fixing points on either side of the central front piece. I thought about 3 stars because of this, but it's still such a nice accessory so stuck to 4. It's all about effect with this belt: I haven't had any breaks to metal parts like the previous reviewer, though it's not exquisitely made - but at this price that would probably be asking too much, and the fact is that is does have a stunning, transformational effect on any outfit you add it to. I like it, and if you like how it appears on screen, I think you will too. 10.26.2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Loved the look of this belt but not too well made I tried it both in the black and the brown and returned them both albeit I may still get the brown (I have the Esmeralda belt in brown which I *love*, so not sure if I need two...) The metal color in the black is a lot more coperry-looking than in the photo where it looks more brassy. I had originally ordered a small in the brown (it has beautiful, silver metal detail) and it did not fit at all even though all my other Free People belts are small. I then returned it for the black in a Medium which then broke at the very minute I tried it on for the first time (the metal hook thingies just broke-very weird, but it could have been a fluke). Beautiful belt, I may still try it another time. 10.20.2013
