"Bought this in the black/blue combo and peach/dusty rose combo in Large. I did try on size XS, my usual size and it does fit true to size and looks like the photo. I'm 5'3
but I preferred this cardigan in Large because it is the same length or a couple of inches shorter as most of FP tunic tops and it hangs open almost in the center front with the knotted scrunch hanging lower than the rest of the sweater. I purposely let out most of the string, then double knotted, tied it in a bow (like photo). Double knotting prevents "losing" the string that another reviewer wrote.

Letting it out lengthens the front and it hangs turning outward naturally and the scrunching can still spread to chest level. I prefer the looser fit as oppposed to how the scrunchies are almost at the side of your body shown in the photo. Just a personal thing, I like the longer look and "more sweater" in front. It doesn't look too big on me., Both colors and sizes I bought go with just about anything and it layers very well. It is very soft and comfortable."

"I have this cardigan in black, size large. I'm normally a medium in FP tops/sweaters, but decided to size up on this one. For reference, I'm a 38C. Sometimes I size up so that I can throw the sweaters in the dryer and shrink them to the correct fit. That's because I'm too lazy and impatient to air dry my clothes. The color isn't a pure black, but it's still dark and lovely. I like how the length in the front can be changed just by pulling on the strings. I do recommend making a knot in the bottom of the strings so that they don't disappear into the sweater. Overall, I think it's a great cardigan and it's perfect for the summer. I plan on buying it in soft pink next."

"i adore this sweater! i'm so smitten that i purchased it in blue and black. i'm so pleased: it's a nice cotton blend that will keep me warm on cool summer nights. it's perfect to go over anything, from jeans to a summer dress. it's cozy, chic, and worth the price tag. it fits true to size: i got the xs, and that's my regular free people top size. yay!"

"i pulled it down too long and the 'scrunch' string is now lost somewhere. i can no longer scrunch my scrunch sweater and the length of the front is below my knees.. so, i don't wear it anymore :("

"This sweater is so so cute! I ordered it in size small (I usually size down to xs for cardis) and I'm glad I did; it fits true to size.
I am very happy with the fit, the color (black), and the sizing. It is a keeper. I liked it so much I ordered the light pink one as well."
