I am 5'4", 38B and 165lbs, I usually wear a Large/12 in FP clothes. I got this in all 3 colors in a Large, but it felt a little too roomy. I tried a Medium, but it just didn't hit right in certain places, so I would stay with your true size, but it is a little roomy and not fitted around the waist like in the last White picture. The slip underneath is removable by snaps on the underpart of the straps, so that's kinda cool if you want to use your own underneath. The quality is very good and durable, but I just didn't think it was enough ooomph for the price. If it goes on sale I will absolutely get it!

I saw this dress and knew I had to have it for an upcoming event, even though I will need to wear a cardigan to cover my shoulders. I was worried that the high neck would be unflattering, but that was not the case. The dress is fitted, but not tight, over the chest area and flares out above the waist into a full skirt. I went with the beautiful ivory color even though the pink may have been more flattering to my skin tone. Since it doesn't have a defined waist and I have somewhat of an hourglass figure, I am planning to wear a belt with it. Be warned that a belt makes the already short dress even shorter (and I'm not even 5'3"). Since I'll be wearing a cardigan over the dress that covers the back, I think I will wear the Sadie suede hairband as a belt. I would recommend buying this dress in a store if possible, since I had to try on a few before I found one that had a straight hem along the bottom. The slip, especially in the ivory color, is very sheer and will probably not have any use except for with this dress. Paired with the dress, it is not indecent at all, though. Be careful because the lace will snag very easily. One detail that is particularly nice is that there are little snaps in the shoulders that keep the straps of the slip and your bra from sticking out in the back. The extra small had plenty of room for me, and I'm 5'2" and a size 2 or 4. I think that many of the styles from this season run a little loose, and this dress keeps with the trend. Overall, I like the dress a lot, and will wear it frequently as it can be dressed up or down.

Love this dress! Can't wait to wear it for s/s. Fits true to size and perfect length for my 5'3 size.

this dress is adorable and so versatile. I got it in cream. I also tried on the coral color but it washed out my (pale) skin. I'm sooo glad I didn't ever buy the "fitted with dasies" dress, as this is MUCH cuter!!!

Let me start off by saying that because I am out of proportion, I generally have difficulty finding clothes that fit me well--ESPECIALLY clothes that are on the non-fitted side because my larger chest tends to push extra fabric outwards, making me look bigger than I am. (Reference: I am a size 26 waist 5'3" and 32DDD). So I approached this dress dubiously. It honestly could not be more perfect. If someone told me that there was a trapeze cut babydoll like dress in my future I would have laughed in their face because usually that is the EPITOME of a bad cut for me. However, there is something about this dress that I think really flatters EVERY figure--even us large chested women. I tend to wear either xs or s in Free People and I went with the s because of my chest (sorry to keep mentioning it but I cannot say enough how thrilled I am this dress worked for me!!!!) Another great thing about it is that it can be dressed up or down. I happened to be wearing my tall lace-up black boots when I tried it on and they looked great! But I can imagine that it would look adorable with a pair of pumps as well. So what's my point? GET IT NOW!! :) You won't regret it! I'm actually tempted to come back for the navy because it could possibly be good for fall.

I wish I had a FP store by me, but the closest one is an hour away, so in order to get the right fit I ordered it in S and M. Didn't even open the M because i found the S to be quite roomy. Trying to get a more fitted look I then tried the XS but that didn;t work at all. It was still loose in the waist, the main difference was in the length...it was waaay too short for me to pull off, and I'm only 5'2"! It looked more like a tunic, no where near a dress, so I'll be sticking with the S. The colors are beautiful in person, a beautiful dark navy, a coral, and the white is more of an off white, the slip even has a hint of a very light peach to it. Looks nice with the cream Lace mix scarf.

I ordered the XS in Alabaster. The color is great, the fit is perfect its not too short or too loose. It is an item that I will keep for a long time, and it was well worth ever penny! :)

This dress is quite adorable! I got it in the ivory (alabaster) color in my usual size, XS. Its fits great, and has a loose bell shape, reminds me of a 60s mod styled dress. I like the way it fits normally, but prefer to cinch it with a waist belt. The sheer lace is nice as you can switch out the inner slip for a different one, I'd like to see it with a forest green slip underneath. Good buy, fairly conservative except for the length. A must have, and a new favorite of mine!
