"I had to have this dress like so many other free people dresses the moment I saw it! The day before it came, I read the few reviews. They are all right. The skirt is VERY see through. And looking at the label it is "free people beach". Which would work great as a coverup. I loved the look too much so I went and bought the seamless tube and yanked it down to cover the bottom. Same as a slip. It's perfect!"
"Like other reviewers, I was bummed by the flimsy skirt and considered returning it. I liked it so much though that I wanted to consider what options I have. I considered cutting off the skirt and converting it into a sweater, as I love the sweater material and how it hangs on the body. But then I considered less drastic measures. Leggings are too warm to wear in the summer. Shorts would look silly. I couldn't be bothered to go to a tailor and pay for getting it lined. Then I had a Eureka moment- I could wear a slip! A nude one worked perfect. And now I have a dress to wear to watch tennis tournaments this summer. It's a little baggy on top, yes. But isn't that the look--Southern Californian casual? I certainly am not wearing it just to lounge around the house. This dress will go to town. A "Sunday Brunch" dress, it is."
"This dress is suited for people a little bit taller than 5"1. the fit is quite big, but very comfortable. As previous reviews have mentioned, the skirt is rather see-through so you need to wear leggings or shorts under it.
I like the colours, but it's more of a 'home' dress than anything else...."
"This dress is a total disappointment for me. It's comfortable - yes, BUT the skirt is made of cheap, flimsy-looking fabric. I didn't find it flattering on me at all. Not worth the 68 bux. I'm 5'2", 120 lbs. and I ordered a size S. The top half was pretty loose on me. Needless to say, this is going back for a return... bummer!"
