Holy smokes, the bust on this dress is terrible! I am sorry to say because it truly is beautiful. The bust is sewn in such a way that part of it sticks out, so it looks like it's oddly shaped nipples and that you're cold all the time. It's not even something where you can kind of maneuver yourself around to fill in the space so it doesn't look all pointy. It is not an attractive pointy either. I ordered a size 2 and I am a 32D so it wasn't as though I had chosen the wrong size in terms of bust, and the rest of the dress fitted beautifully. It is just a poor execution of an otherwise beautiful dress. Too bad. But hey! It may work for some out there, or possibly a talented seamstress could fix that pretty obvious faux pas. I just feel that if I'm going to spend almost $200 on a dress, I shouldn't have to put more money into it to make it work.

by Lucycious I feel like a goddess wearing this dress!
The dress is absolutely amazing! It is my first maxi dress, believe it on not:) I am pretty small so I always thought a maxi dress will make me look even smaller but it isn't necessarily true. I ordered a size 2 (normally I would go for 0 but as per a previous preview I went for a 2 cause of the breasts size) and I've made a good choice. I couldn't wait to try the dress on and it just is absolutely stunning.. It doesn't make me look pregnant, which was another one of my worries. I wore it right away and instantly got compliments from literally every person who saw me:) it truly is a goddess dress! The material is lovely, feels a bit heavier than as you imagine it as per the pics, but I don't see that as something bad. Well done you guys! Thank you for making me feel like a goddess! :)

This dress is honestly made with such beautiful materials that I almost kept it (even though it's 300 dollars!). That is how much I loved the style and materials of this garment--but I sadly had to send it back, in the end, due to the ridiculous cut of the garment. I originally tried this dress on in a local shop in a size four--it was voluminous, but so gorgeous that I decided ordering down a size (I am generally a size 2 in FP) would be a worthy investment (again: see the price tag.). So, I ordered the 2 and waited with bated breath for it to arrive. The top I must admit fit like a dream: close but not too tight to my ribs, and the elaborate back straps lay flat (just like the model's). I do have to say that the other reviewer was right when she mentioned the cups of the bodice do fit a little pointy and strange, but that didn't really bother me as it reminded me of the 1950s style bullet bras (though that isn't at all the look of the garment). I also have very small breasts, and that may be another reason it didn't bother me. I think that on larger breasted women it would look very strange, like oddly placed nodules protruding awkwardly. Anyway, back to the fit: the problem wasn't the bodice (for me) but the skirting of the dress. This problem started right at the empire waist seaming and it was this: it was SO baggy! I am a small on top, larger on bottom kind of person so I was shocked that the dress fit so perfectly around my ribcage and bust, but hung like a flapping gunnysack bag from there down. There is just entirely too much fabric on the skirting of this dress! You'll notice this if you look at all the pictures of the two models: in every photo, excepting the one where the dark haired model is standing with her back to the camera, she is holding the fabric down or closer to her body. That's for a good reason! I also liked the dress when I was crossing my arms, pulling fabric back with my hands, or otherwise compressing the excess amount. In the one photo she isn't doing that in (the aforementioned back shot) the dress looks HUGE on her. It is not flattering even on that gorgeous model!
I considered ordering a zero, but I knew the bodice would fit too tightly for comfort (and let me stress yet again that I NEVER have problems with bodices being too small...generally they are too large!)
I also have to admit that the dress did come with the gray tie dyed middle the other reviewer mentioned; the studio shots are NOT accurate. I liked the tie dye, but if you prefer the studio version you'd do best not to order this dress.
For reference, I am 5'1" 34-25-37. (The dress is LONG too, but I always wear super high heels so that wasn't an issue for me.)
Last words: I'd only recommend this for someone who is MUCH, MUCH bigger on bottom than they are on top OR someone who is willing to pay 300 dollars and then have the dress altered (and alterations would be expensive as the sides would need to be taken in and there is a side zipper which always complicates that whole process).

I ordered this April 1st and didn't get it till today since it was on back order. I impatiently waited but was thrilled to try it on. However, when I finally got it in it wasn't as pretty as the pictures. The material is kinda cheap feeling & the bust/braided area is stiff & awkwardly shaped (didn't fit smoothly over my bust & gave a weird rounded-point in the nipple area). Also, in most the studio pics the middle area is plain white but mine had the splotchy grey in it like the beach pic.
I'm 5'8" and got a size 6. It all fit fine & the length was fine but if you have a larger chest be sure to size up. I'm returning it just because it was a little too maternity looking (was afraid of that but hoped it'd fit more closely in the torso) & just doesn't seem as high quality as it should be for $300. Bummed.
