Heyoka Leather was started by two best friends who began designing and creating custom leather pieces for models and musicians in Los Angeles in 2008. As the word got out and demand grew, they added another brought in another business partner and began to offer their handcrafted goods at select high-end boutiques. Everything in the collection is hand made by the designers, and they source their elk and deer hides from several different suppliers: searching out the best quality and most ethical hides available. Whenever possible, they purchase directly from hunters and Native people who use every part of the animal. Also, they personally hand select every hide they work with, which is why Heyoka Leather's choice of leather is so exceptional. Heyoka Leather purchases their brass beads and other embellishments mainly from Native-owned trading posts. Some of the African trade beads used are sourced from Ritual Adornments in Santa Fe.

Initially I was skeptical to purchase this necklace due to its price but I'm so glad that I did. It's fun, unique, beautiful, etc. So worth it!

I purchased this a few weeks ago and have worn it a few times with a maxi dress and also with a tank. I love this piece, it is very versatile and I have received tons of compliments on it.

Although I loved the way this necklace and the warrior necklace looked in all of the great FP photos I was really hesitant to purchase either because of the price. I was fortunate enough to be able to track them down and I can't even explain how SERIOUSLY beautiful they are in real life! They are literally pieces of art! I loved them both but decided on the spotted eagle (which looks much more beautiful in real life than in these pictures) because I felt like it was a little more versatile although I would love to own both! The one I purchased has black leather and it is truly STUNNING! I've worn it twice and people kept stopping me everywhere asking where I found it! The length is adjustable which is nice because I like to wear mine sort of low. If you want a truly stunning piece you won't see on a lot of other people don't hesitate!
