Rated 2 out of 5 by Heavy!!! I got these boots in a heavy package, good thing i do weights because they were so incredibly heavy!! also the studs in the ppicture here which are shown in silver where actually more of a vintage bronze.. the Jeff Campbell box looked a lot more cheaply made than any i have ever seen (and i own 6-7 JC's) ..another thing that bothered me was they were hard to walk with and the smell of leather tanning (which probably has harmful formaldehyde) filled up my entire room..i'm on the fence about returning them as they might have a chance in the future.. My bf says they are not my usual style so I'm still debating on keeping the $500 i spent on this one.. 2.12.2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not As Hardcore As I Expected But Still Cool I just received this today. I was on pins and needles waiting for these boots because the reviews were not consistent. When I opened the box I was hit with this overwhelming smell. I don't think it was just leather either. Hope it goes away. Nearly knocked me out. First of all, I was expecting to see a very distressed look as in the picture but the boots were somewhat smooth and only a few distressed areas. Not a problem, I can do my own distressing as I wear it. I normally wear a 6 1/2 but in JCs I always order a 7. I ordered a 7 and as always, it fit me perfectly with a bit of room to spare for thicker socks so I think that you should size up 1/2 size and they should fit fine. No studs have fallen off yet but I just received this so I have to wait to see what happens. I'm 5'2 and the boots hit me about 1-2" below the knee. The leather is somewhat supple/soft so you can fold the tops over if you want a different look. The studs stick out and are pointed/sharp and not like low key studs so you have to consider this before you purchase. Great protection in case you want to defend yourself, haha. Like I said, not as hardcore but hardcore enough nonetheless. I probably will wear these boots with feminine dresses, tops, etc. to offset the hardcore look, and when I feel like making a statement, I can go all black and rock it out! I think I made a great choice and will be keeping these boots for a long time. The quality is very good and if you're on the fence on this, I think it's a very good purchase for the money. I only gave this a 4 star because I thought that they should have been more distressed as in the picture. 10.4.2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by BEWARE I was SO excited to get these in the mail, thinking they would be the perfect mix of pretty and grunge. OPPOSITE reaction once i saw them. I guess from the pictures I thought they would be studded detail, but they are like 1/2 inch high spikes sticking out. They are TOTAL grunge and not typical FP style. So if you are going for the ripped up, black grunge Hot Topic look you will like these. These boots coming from FP left me utterly surprised and completely disappointed! If they were just studded detail they would be insane! Sadly, these went back in the mail to return today.... 2.10.2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Boots love the boots 7.23.2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by was a disappointment I really wanted these and I finally got them but they look nothing like the picture. The studs are not shiny they are kind of brassy looking. This item isn't one of Jeffery Campbells best work. Since they were a gift I can't return them so I will wear these when I am doing yard work or something. I am very upset because these look cheap. 12.20.2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by On the fence I'm not in love with these as I thought I would be. Mine don't look distressed at all, so I guess all "distressed" really means is broken in leather, which is better than not because breaking in leather boots is the worst. They look almost plastic though. They're just solid black. However they are very comfortable. It's just not possible to get them to sit/slouch how they look in the photo. The box, the Jeffrey Campbell one, that they came in was completely decimated. I'm surprised the boots weren't broken when they got to me. I think I got the pair that a few other people returned. I assumed it would have gotten a new box and extras they usually come with as to protect the product. I also didn't receive any extra studs, which other reviews said they received when they purchased them. So I hope they don't fall off. 6.1.2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Studded Seattle Love Boot I love these boots! They turn heads wherever I go and I always get compliments on them. They are also very comfortable. I'm an 8.5, but sometimes wear an 8 and that is what I ordered. They fit perfect. I can layer a heavy sock and they will still fit with some room in the toe. So despite being hesitant on which size to order, these boots are amazing and are sure to last a lifetime! 5.7.2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by I’m not sure…. I think I received a defected item. After sending an email together with the photo, I got reply from FP team that it’s not defected but distressed design. I surly know that this type comes with distress design before I placed the order, but I only find the defect (a scratch)on one shoe, if it’s designed in this way, at least it should show up on both of the shoes, right? 5.2.2013
