so when the description says "outer sides of pants have slits"' I assumed the slits are just at the bottom, like what the last pic shows. irl, the slits go all the way from the waist down to the bottom, which means that as you move, it exposes your panties, bum, everything. I guess if you're using this as a beach coverup, then it'd work, but it's definitely not for everyday wear unless you wear something else inside. the black/white color is more black/grey. the material is very thin. the fit is tts at the waist, and it's a little long for 5'3".

These are cute, light, breezy and look exactly as pictured except that the slit that in the photo seems to be at the ankle goes all the way up to the waist band, which means at any wrong turn your knickers & bum can be exposed! It's also much worse when you sit down. I recommend either wearing shorts underneath, which sort of defeats the purpose of this, perhaps, too breezy harem pant, or getting them sewn shut, which is what I'll be doing! For that, they've lost a few points.

In the pic, it looks like there is a small slit at the bottom of the leg however it does go all the way up. Honestly, I kept them because they are so original and unique and I had a mom that could sew up the sides in 10 minutes on her sewing machine. I like them altered better because now I can comfortably wear them in public and I get lots of compliments!

I, like the other reviewer, was surprised by the huge "slits" going up the entire side of the pant. They are certainly impractical for anything other than the beach, in my opinion. I also agree that the color IRL has a bit more gray and less black/white. However, there is still a part of me that really loves them. They are extremely comfortable and easy to dress up or down. I am considering maybe putting a small stitch about halfway down the legs to close up some of the slit and make them wearable. Not sure if it's worth the money, but I can't find another other harems like them. I am going to mull over them for a few more days to decide. If the slit is something you can deal with, they are beautiful pants otherwise.
