As the description says, the top is woven which makes it a sweater-E type of shirt. It ran large on me in an XS, my normal size. It didn't fit me as straight down my sides, it flared a bit. Also due to the sweater-E-ness of the material, it wouldn't hold the beautiful hem shape at the bottom. Very beautiful but I think best for a long and lean or slender build.

I ordered this in the lavender XS and I love it. You can dress it up or down. Runs a tad big.
