Paid the $20.00 for express delivery, they are gorgeous, but unfortunately very small, order up a size. Now praying that my size will be available.

When I initially saw these shoes, I fell in love and immediately ordered them. They do run small, so please up-size. However, for me, the quality of the shoes do not warrant the price. The sole of the shoes are made of some type of rubber. Although this may be great for comfort, it really takes away from the shoes and cheapens their look. I will be returning them.

I tried these and the Lina sandal. The style of these is great but as some others have commented, the suede is a little stiff, especially when compared with the Lina, which I think is better quality for money. However it's all down to what you want out of them. These are probably sturdier for walking with a comfortable, flexible, thickish sole. The tall style is good-looking. If you have short legs you might find them awkwardly high. I'm 5'6" and they are just right. Size-wise, I take around UK 7, EU 40-41 US 9-11. For comparison, I have tried Bed Stu Manchester (Tan) size 9, JC Perspective and Minimal in size 10, JC Joe boots in size 11: all of these fit perfectly. Basically, narrower styles, larger size needed. These are a perfect fit in 9.5, and there is plenty of adjustability in the width, though as they seem to look better when the lacing is fairly narrow, you might want to take that into consideration if like me you are not in possession of the slenderest calves!

"The legs are the last to go," as women age--they say. Unfortunately, my legs seem to be the first to go.
I live in Texas. It's hot. Really hot. And All Anyone Wears Anymore is Cutoff Denim Shorts. And I Freaking Love Denim Cutoff Shorts!
I see the girls float by dressed in their summer clothes. I saw these sandals and wondered if they could banish my darkness.
I bought the Jeffrey Campbell Oklahoma/ Backstage boots last winter in taupe& black. I don't believe general JC quality matches my standard Frye but I believe JC nails modern style in such a dead cool way it's forgivable and undeniable.
There is a blue lining. It even shows in one of the photos but it is stitched carefully and doesn't degrade the construction. These sandals are the kind of exquisite leather piece that will reward your wardrobe infinitely if you put in the time. They take work to get on. The laces allow you to adjust so they fit like a glove and become part of you, like a Gladiator, right?
I've made them a little tight today as I break em' in around the house. Initially trying them on they hit above knee. It felt like the shape of the Oklahoma boots with the wide shaft opening over the back of my knee-- that's what I love. As I wear them the top has settled below my knee as pictured. I adjust when they loosen and soldier on.
The color is an encouraging blush taupe that flatters my pale skin. I can picture a summer holiday around the world taking only these sandals.
JC creates timeless pieces from fads. Do not hesitate. Get both colors if you desire. The magic of these gladiators will only strengthen with time.

I ordered the taupe thinking that the photo was just beautiful. The leather looked soft and comfortable. Not so much in person. The shoe is made of that hard, stiff suede and it looks really cheap. It was a fiasco to get these on, but had they been sweet shoes I wouldn't have been bothered by the time it took to lace them up. The fit was fine and seemed true to size.

The picture of these is just so stunning ! Not so much in person. The lace up detail is attractive but so difficult to enjoy ( even with the zipper in the back) The fit was not quite snug enough for me so the shoe itself looked like that of a homeless person, not a sexy extra from Gladiator. The shaft was 19" as listed and I knew this was way too high for so I had considered getting them altered by a profesional shoe cobbler. To be honest the quality just didn't warrant the investment. To top it off, the inside of the shoes is bright blue and to me this looked really ridiculous. I returned them .

Run's at least a size small.
I'm regular JC 7 or 7.5, right foot size 24cm. But these popped out at least an inch from the back.
Quality does not match its high pricing. But cannot deny that this design is nice.
Extremely poor customer service when asking about exchanges.
Rated 3 out of 5Â by TCM Really Cute...If you can get them on!
Got these as a splurge-y present to myself- they are very cute and very unique! Unfortunately they do take a fair amount of work to actually get them on your feet! There's a zipper down the back that doesn't end at the heel- leaving a weird opening that you have to get your foot through in order to get into the shoe. This means you have to play with the laces a fair amount and squeeze your foot through (not the most pleasant experience). Once you've got your foot in the shoe itself, they fit fine. The other thing to be wary of is if you have muscular calves- zipping up the back is going to be kind of rough (after some lace wrangling, I was able to get it zipped and they look quite nice). The lighter color is a little darker in person and the leather is backed with a bright blue neoprene fabric which I found a little annoying (you don't see it at all once the shoe is on- but it was kind of a surprise since it's not shown in any of the product images).
I got my usual size (8) which fits me in the sole part of the shoe. Going a size up would probably have been too much (though if you have athletic calves, you might want to consider it).
