Rated 4 out of 5Â by Loveorhate Super beautiful, but...
This pants are gorgeous. I bought them at the local FP store in a maroon combo and they looked amazing. I washed them, in the machine, gentle cycle, and the fabric is fraying at the bottom and at the top. I have to take them to a seamstress to be fixed. I think Free People needs to look into quality of the fabrics they use for their products, to match the beauty of the designs. For the price, I expect better quality!

Bought these pants in store and they are beautiful but unfortunately the fabric choice was terrible. Wore them once and there is a big hole in-between the legs and most other seams are pulling apart significantly. They are super roomy so it's not that there is any grand amount of tension being put on the seams - it's just paper thin and very weak. The day I wore them was to sit at a desk in an office so I wasn't being rough with them either. It's too bad because they had the potential to be great...

I wanted to love these pants sooo much, but unfortunately they had some flaws. I love the look and the wide leg. I could tell right away that the fabric was not great, they were see through and I was afraid to wash them, but I washed them on delicate and let them tumble dry. They came out frayed and ripping apart, and on top of that the fit in the thigh area felt really weird. I am so bummed these pants are so cheaply made. For the price FreePeople needs to produce better quality clothing.

These pants are comfortable, stylish, long enough for me. They fit slightly large; I ordered the S and I'm usually a 28 or 29 in FP jeans. Soft and flattering. I may order another pair!

LOVE these pants! Exactly like FP One Pacific Trails pants from last year, but different patterns & similar fabric. They are a bit on the larger side, I ordered XS & S and usually wear a 26 or 27 and the S felt big (I'm keeping the XS). They are also long and I have to wear 4-6" heels because I'm 5'3" (that also makes my legs look SUPER long!!). I love the waistband because it's comfortable and flattering (doesn't cut into your hip skin). These are my favorite new purchase and I highly recommend :)

a word of caution to ladies considering buying these pants. when you buy them they will fit differently and after a wash they will fit differently as well. material will shrink about 2 inches from the bottom and 1 inch from the thigh area. do not trim these pants for your perfect length before a wash, do it afterwards. these pants will be too long for you initially but they run very long and have a raw edge.
after you wash them you will see that the bottom is fraying like mad, have a seamstress hem it for you, but again, do not hem before wash.
good luck ladies. once you follow these rules pants are actually very comfy and stylish. you can dress them up or down. mine never ripped in the crotch area or otherwise, construction was good, however follow the recommendations above if you want to have a nice pair of pants for your closet:)

I bought 2 pairs of these pants at the store. Fit is great and loose like on the picture. BUT...they ripped right down the leg, on both sides the 1st time I wore them!!! The worst part is that it can't be patched/sew because of the type of fabric. I had bought some similar pants in the past from FP, and they ripped in the crotch but I was able to sew them. Not these ones:-( Can't wear these pants ever again. Can I even return them??

My friend got these pants for me as a gift in both navy and red, and BOTH pairs ripped right up the crotch the first time I wore them. They were definitely not too small, but the tissue-thin fabric is just basically made like paper. They are now expensive pajama pants...
