The loosely pleated bottom helps show the shape of my body so well because it visually narrows my legs and waist but bringing in more curve to my hip. I can wear it with a lot of my tops and jackets. It fits true to size. The waist is just about right for me about if my tummy has more fats it would not fit so well. Btw, I am 5'3", 125lbs. 8.1.2012
