i find this to fit true to size. it's meant to be somewhat loose-fitting and it is. if you're busty, i don't recommend sizing down at all since it could be tight. it works great on its own and as a layering piece. it's light enough that i don't find it to tent out. the coral is definitely more orangey-pink, which is a very pretty color. the lace is see through and the rest of the slip is quite sheer so you'd need something underneath if worn alone.

As stated in other reviews before, the lace is no good quality. Also, it is a bid too loose. Disliked the colour anyway, i expected a more sublte greyish colour. Also, the dots are a bid o bold for my taste.
I'm also very disappointed that, when i received my parcel, there were no tags attached to the slip dress. This is the 3rd item in one month I received from Free People in that condition. Really sad :(

Beautiful fabric, light and airy. If it had more weight with the ruffles on the bottom to pull it down, perhaps it would have hung better on me. I've lost over 100lbs, am curvy, & "pear" shaped. Due to where it hit me on my 5'5" body, it only added to my flaws. I wouldn't wear it sleeveless either d/t "bat wings" that come with weightloss. I'm still hopeing FP will bring back the STREAMER RUFFLE DRESS that they had awhile back. Saw that on a gal and the weight of the ruffles were very flattering, with a lite Tshirt underneath, it was adorable! With the Vivaldi, I love the ruffles though and they look super cute on any shape IN THE BACK (esp bustled), but the sides and front need a seamstress's touch to make this lay right on me. Any woman looks good with the "bustle" look of ruffles in the back though, (so it gives a curvy A-line shape to the body in the front) no matter what the size of your booty! Empire waists give even stick thin bodies a pregnant look in my opinion. Unfortunately, for me the Vivaldi is going back. <=-(

I love this slip. I actually wouldn't call it a slip. I got it in the store and I thought it was a top that could be worn as a dress as well. It's soft, feminine and has the perfect amount of ruffle and lace. It's so versatile. Easily a day to night piece. You can wear it over skinnies or leggings, top it with a sweater, cute little jacket, boots or heels, pile on some jewels, scarf, belt it...so many options. I have it in Storm and I also love the Coral and Cream colors as well. It is a bit loose but I'm 5'8" and slender so the shape works for me. I'm normally an xs and that's what I got it so I would say it's true to FP sizing.

This slip is one of my favorite items in my closet. I have it in the storm color. You can create so many looks with this slip. The lace detail is beautiful and i am very happy with the quality. I want it in every color! The neckline hangs very low so i usually wear another slip underneath it. A lacy bra or bandeau might be cute too. The tiny polka dots are so adorable. Overall, this is a great purchase.

I nearly knocked myself over to get this dress. I tried it on in an XS and it fit nicely, but I knew I wanted to layer under it so I went to the small which is quite rooomy, but not sloppy. The length on me is more than appropriate as a dress with full length or capri leggings. Reading the reviews, you can't help wonder if we are all reviewing the same dress. It is a soft flowy material, the lace is soft and not itchy and if you plan to wear it without undergarments then plan to do some explaining! I bought the dusty lilac as it was the only color anywhere (online and in store) that was available and I really like it. Yes, there are red dots on it, but so subtle that if it is how someone reads the dress then they are standing way too close to me. I love the other colors and am considering picking up another one. I styled it the last time I wore it as follows:
black capri leggings, black wedge shoes, nude lycra/cotton tank top, layered necklaces and black leather jacket. You couldn't see any skin through the dress.
