I was kind of iffy about ordering this piece because, judging from the photos, it seems to have the potential to look frumpy. So, I went in to the store to try it on.
I am 5'5", a U.S. size 12 or large, and I wear a 36B to Cish bra. I usually size down to a medium in the really flowy Free People pieces and stick to a large in their more fitted pieces.
I actually stuck with a large on this one, even though it's flowy. The way it drapes and hangs actually makes this piece look really flattering on me. I was worried that it was the store's slimming mirrors that made it look good, but I just tried it on at home and I'm still happy with it.
Some really thin cotton or jersey materials tend to cling to my body in a not cute way. This piece didn't do that. It hangs away from the body enough to mask any flaws, yet drapes around the body in a way that makes it look flattering and not muumuu-y at all.
I'm 5'5" and it's almost long enough in the front to wear as a dress. I think with bloomers or a pair of layering shorts, it will be fine. I plan to wear it with boots and a vest. I actually think it looks less frumpy on me than on the model, maybe because I fill it out a little more.
I was hesitant to pay $80 for it because it is such a basic, thin material. I'm worried that it may lose it's shape and/or get pilly, so I plan to hand wash it in cold water and hang it to dry.
I just couldn't pass it up though, because I love the way it's cut and I have a feeling I'll be able to find a million different ways to style it this fall. It's so thin that it can be worn in the summer too, even though it is made of that waffle-y thermal material. It's much thinner than a typical thermal. Sorry for the crazy long review! Hope it helps!

This is a pretty, super comfy top but it is much more see-through than I expected, so even with a flesh-coloured bra you pretty much need something underneath. It isn't all that flattering on a skinny body - I can see it working like magic for curvy or larger ladies, it flows beautifully from the bust but in hiding any tummy bits it also makes the body pretty shapeless.
It makes your arms look superthin which is great... However it is very overpriced at £68 and because of this I returned it after a lot of umming and aaahing. If there is a sale on I will almost certainly buy it again though because it's pretty, but I can't justify spending nearly £70 on it.
The length in Small and Medium was virtually identical, as was the sleeve fit (narrow, but very stretchy) but the medium was a lot wider in the body. For reference, I am 5'10 and slim and the Small fitted best, but too short in the front to be worm as a dress. It also clings a bit badly on jeans and makes your bum look bigger than it is, which isn't great when it also hides your waist. Would be best with leggings, or as a dress for shorter women. I also wonder how well this would fare in the wash, I have a feeling not so well, which was another reason I returned it - but it was with a heavy heart I sent it back.

I REALLY wanted to love this. I tried it on in the Nashville Green Hills store and was so excited and then I was so disappointed. Before I go any further, I'd like to let anyone reading this know that I am definitely a curvier girl. I have a big chest, thick arms, and a little more to love on my tummy than I'd like to have. That being said, this was not flattering on me in the slightest. It hugged my boobs in an unflattering way, and was extremely tight on my arms. This would look good on tall, skinny girls (like most clothing out there.) I also think it is a really thin, sheer material that is a little over priced. I give it 2 stars because like most free people items, it is a one of a kind look that can't really be found anywhere else.

I am the self proclaimed queen of oversized tops, and I found this in grey at a boutique and had to have it. Most people sized down, but I liked the length of my normal size M and can toss it in the dryer without having to cross my fingers (learned that lesson the hard way with some other fp tops) Ordered it in solid black as well. Love that it is good for all seasons.

I ordered this top in desert sand about two months ago. I'm 5'8 125 pounds and ordered in a small. The fit was perfect and the length was just right. This is the perfect top to transform the voile and lace slips from summer to winter. Unfortunately, after initially loving this top, I'm disappointed to say that the bottom hem separated from the shirt and there is now a large hole. I knew upon receiving this item that it wasn't the best quality but i never thought it would become unwearable after only a few uses.

I'm a big lover of flannels and wanted something better than an average t-shirt to wear under them so I got this in the gray color that's listed as black. It's perfect! I'm short and it doesn't overwhelm me. I ended up buying it in the small. Goes with so much in my wardrobe. Must buy piece!

This shirt is cute and comfy, but it is quite thin. It's extremely long, (given, I am short, only about 5'3) it reaches up to about where my knees are in the back. Although, I believe I can shorten the length by washing it in warm water and throwing it in the dryer, it's not what I was expecting when I received it.

I love this top so much! I wear it at least twice a week- looks cute with everything. And I love that it really feels like a cape when you walk! Definitely size down though as it runs on the larger side.
