These pants look great, feel great and a real conversation stopper. The fabric has enough body that the large "bell bottoms" flare & move and swish. I wear them with an over sized brownish pullover and leopard wedges: then careful with accessories: don't want to look costume-y. My only "issue": the waist.
The waist is softly elasticized and the rise is low......meaning the pants just shimmyed down my flat butt, to mid thigh by the time I got to my car in a mall parking lot. How embarrassing! I couldn't get them to stay UP, but loved them so much, I had to try a creative fix: I wore a long body shaper over the top of the waist/hip of the pants, under the oversized sweater. It was comfy and kept my pants up!!!!!!!! I really must speak with FP about FP One: lots of issues. I would like to see this brand thrive but it won't unless FP One does a fit makeover....! BUT....adore these pants!

I absolutely adore these pants, even if they run long and fall off of my butt. I'm currently trying to find a way to fix this so I can wear them during festival season. I like the gold color that I got, but i wish the lavender/blue would still be in stock. I absolutely adore the pattern.

by ciliaviktoria Makes me look like a goddess.
Me: 5.1 tall. Petite and curvy.
I would say these run true to size if you are not super skinny. If your super skinny, size down.
Plus for girls with a body like me:
-These pants will make you look taller since you will need to wear them with giant platforms in order to not step on the beautiful hem!
- If you have a nice apple butt these pants will show that in a good way. I trust my boyfriend on this one.
- Fabric is light and comfortable yet solid.
Not so good:
The waist part is smocked. Comfy yes but is not very flattering to the crotch. It looks cheaply made in the front. This is why I am not giving them 5 stars.
I would not buy if I had to pay full price for them. Its just one of those fun pieces to have.
Picture of me wearing it is to be found on my blog, if you're interested. I made a nice post from my first visit in a FP store, search for cecilia rosell blog + free people.
Hope that helps!

I am very petite, 5'-0" about 100 Ibs, and even after reading the reviews about how long these pants are I still decided to buy them. I have a great tailor so I took the pants to him to have them hemmed and explained that I wanted to keep the band at the bottom. He was able to cut out a section of the fabric above the band and sew them back together...you can't even tell anything was done to them. They are a bit "baggy" in the hips and crotch so I will need to have them taken in a bit also, but these pants are great. My only complaint...I bought them in the creme color and the day after I took them to the tailor FP added the new color, which I would have much preferred. I wish FP would release all color ways at the same time.

I tried these on in the store and they are absolutely adorable. They're the perfect spring/summer pants to wear out and about, or to throw on for the beach---if you're tall! I'm 5'6 and 135 lbs, and tried on the small and extra small. The small fit like it was supposed to (perfectly loose in the legs), but they were a bit too loose in the waist (which is low), and WAY too long! I tried standing on my tippy toes, and these would definitely have to be worn with platforms. This is a little frustrating b/c they're definitely the kind of pants you would want to wear casually with sandals. I tried on the x-small hoping the length might be taken up a bit, but they were still dragging on the ground. Even though they have a raw hem, when I tried to see what they would look like if I cut and inch or two off, I realized that I would be ruining the beauty of the pants (which really is the pattern at the bottom of them). I so so wanted these. Maybe Free People will come out with another version of them that aren't so long? Please do!!!

Just got these and could not believe how long they are. I am 5'10 and they still "pool" on the ground!!! That never happens to me. I love it. I ordered the xs and they run a bit roomy compared to FP other pants. The pattern on them is so pretty. You could literally live in these pants they are so comfy. Girls dont question whether or not to get these...They are very flattering, what more could you ask for?

Okay, if you are going to put a pattern on the bottom of the leg, offer the pants in more than one length. I'm 5'2" and in 4" platforms was too short for these. So if you are shorter than 5'6", these are probably a no-go. (I've got short legs, so maybe the cut off is closer to 5'4"?) You can't hem them though because of the border. (Well, you can, but you'll be missing out on the design.) That oversight was worth the 2 star deduction in my book. Serious design oversight. Otherwise, the pants were great. Nice and lightweight, the flare wasn't overwhelming, the fit was as pictured in the studio shots, and the color is as pictured. Size wise, the only thing that really matters is the fit in the rear, so I'd say to size these as you would a pair of underwear/booty shorts. For me, I went with my usual pants size, but if I had the model's frame, I'd go down a size. If I had JLo's booty, I'd go up.

These pants are so fun and so comfortable. Their pretty true to size and ,like what everyone else said, are very long. However, they have no hem so if you want you can just cut them. I'm 5'1" so I cut a little bit of length off so I could wear my wedges with them without them dragging on the ground. In the summer I plan to wear flats with them so I may cut them again. I have also found they are prone to wrinkles. I kept having to steam them and 5 mintues in they were wrinkly again. Besides that, I'm in love with these pants!
