"the frayed edges do look cheap. it feels like it is going to fall apart and the fabric is not great. when it arrived it was already wrinkled."

Beautiful but very sheer
7.1.2011-
"I bought this skirt and the matching body suit thinking it would be a beautiful combination on my wedding shower.. boy was I wrong. first off I bought it months before the shower, tried it on with the bodysuit and it looked lovely and then I turned around.... IT IS VERY VERY SHEER. I plan on wearing it on a night where its appropriate and every person standing behind me cant see what Ive got going on under the skirt. I bought white leggings thinking that would help and it does except its 100 degrees outside and the last thing I want to do right now is layer. Otherwise beautifully made skirt but take special care! Ive have this thing in garment plastic and do not plan on taking it out till the time comes to wear it."

Polyester
6.18.2011-
"None of these people must look at the fabric content labels. This skirt is NOT rayon or silk it is 100% POLYESTER. One of the things that bugs me about how the free people quality has gone done since years ago. I prefer natural fabrics and purchase because of the descriptions. I have received several pieces described as Rayon or Silk only to arrive as Polyester."

Love this skirt
4.17.2011-
"This skirt is so beautiful. The tag says that the frayed edges are intentional, and they actually look good, not cheap at all. It is sheer and looks perfect with a little slip underneath. The black bow is also beautiful. I would definitely recommend the skirt."

Yikes!
4.1.2011-
"of course in the catalog pics this skirt looked elegant and beautiful, perfect light airy look for summertime.. the material is chiffon, a very fine silk fabric which also appealed to me. However, when this arrived, I was astonished by the atrocious quality of the cut. The side hems were totally fraying and horrendous looking and I hadn't even put it on yet. Apparently Free People does not believe in providing quality construction to its clients, while charging them an arm and a leg.. For what? For the skirt's material, which they destroyed by not finishing the hems? Completely absurd price to ask for such a low quality item. I promptly returned. Also, I found the small to be a bit too small. I am petite 5'2" 115 lbs and normally wear a small, occassionally a medium in tops and dresses because I have a substancial bust line for my size (34D). Upon trying the skirt on, the cheap plastic snap button that holds the skirt wrapped, kept popping off everytime i tried to fasten the inner section, thus sending the whole skirt into a pretty silk pool around my ankles every time i tried. Not worth the fight it put up, for sure."
