SUPER COMFORTABLE & GOOD FABRIC
Love the cut and feel of this slip! I'm super picky about these type of slips, I must say I was surprised to really like this one. I've always hated slips that have harsh seams or straps, this one is super comfortable, the straps are unnoticeable to the skin AND they stay put, no slipping sliding off the shoulders. YES, the triangle style bust is perfect for smaller chests. The fabric doesn't catch on things as easily as most other slip fabrics do, something that I always watch for. Keeper!!!
skinny strap bodycon, black, size xs
Note: this is not a bodycon dress, but a very tight, small, and short slip. Good for layering, but that's about it. Like the other reviewers said, the bust area will not cover you at all, and it's pretty much impossible to wear a bra with this, unless you have a very specialized strapless bra. Fabric is also thin.
I was inspired to review by the other reviews. I bought this piece in white, and wore it for New Years in South Beach as a dress and it worked great! I actually think it makes a great dress- the black would make a perfect little black dress. I love the bikini style top, and at first bought a M/L for length (I'm 5'8"), but had to return because of the size of the cups! I wear a 32D bra, and the M/L was just too big. With the S/M, it fit perfectly. My only gripe is it does tend to ride up-- you need double stick tape to keep it in place. Be confident & love your body! This made me feel beautiful.
great under layer
I bought the nude color as an under layer for some other dresses. It's perfect for what I bought it for. It's very tight. It shows EVERYTHING. So as a regular dress I would never ever wear it just for that. I am a 36C and ordered the M/L and I was still a little busty at the top but not bad at all.
Would only use as a slip
I got this slip in the M/L in the Nude color that must have a lot more stretch than the other colors from what I read in other reviews. I agree the bust of this dress is EXTREMELY small but the rest of the body was very stretchy. The lack of fabric was okay because I was wearing it under another garment, but I would never be caught dead in this alone. I was afraid to experience a wardrobe malfunction with my 36D chest so I had to have the seam sit above my bust line and use fashion double sided tape as well to keep everything in place. They should definitely add more fabric in the bust area.
Will Never Put On My Body Again
…for fear of massive self-esteem loss from gaping attractiveness wound. If you are anything but very small chested (I'm 32D), very slender (I'm 120 at 5"5 but not nearly slender enough) and fearless, you will—like me—trip over yourself trying to get this slip off as fast as possible. It is curve-hugging for sure, as all FP body-cons are, but it is so horribly tiny, and the cups, the cups. Not even half my chest was covered by the crazy-small bikini-style triangles, leaving me wobbly and large-looking in the most awful ways. Wouldn't wear underneath a wool habit on a dare. Sending back ASAP.
Made for those with small chests
I've been searching forever for the perfect black slip dress that doesn't ride up (seems impossible lately), and this is NOT it. The fit and length of this slip is good, but I didn't get to wear it out anywhere because of the bust. The bust is teeny tiny triangles that would only fit your breasts if they are tiny (no offense, honestly I'm jealous of those with smaller chests). Literally the cups covered less than a skimpy traingle bikini would.... felt like I was trying on a bra sized with an A cup (I am 32b for reference, so my chest isn't very big to begin with). This is definitely an item that needs to have all separate sizes instead of XS/S (which is the size I purchased). Also the straps seemed like they would snap if I moved too quickly.... thank goodness I returned this and I still hope to find a nice black slip.... someday......
The dress is smaller. I ordered a size 2 (my regular size). 5'9 and 120lbs. It was very tight on me, almost uncomfortable and not appealing. I would suggest buying a size up for this dress. Material was cheaper than I was expecting for the cost.
