Made for pro-runners and first milers, HOKA® was founded by trail runners who sought footwear that could help maintain peak performance for longer. Inspired by maximalist design and the oversized wheels on mountain bikes, HOKA® designed shoes with enhanced cushioning, perfect for downhill runs. The brand’s original name, HOKA One One, is based on the Māori expression meaning “to fly over the earth.” Now, the brand embodies this by creating cutting-edge performance and lifestyle shoes, with the vast majority of their styles containing at least one preferred material (recycled, renewed, or naturally sourced).
