A “French” Manicure, The Manucurist Way

Manicurist Nail Polish

We’ve all been there.

Life gets a little busy, the lingering lull of the holiday season leaves us with minimal hours in the day, and all of a sudden, we’re running out the door with the realization that our nails are looking a little worse for wear.

Now, that’s not to say a manicure is essential by any means, but let’s be real–everyone feels a little bit more put together with their nails done, even if it’s just a shiny, clear coat. (PSA: Our trend prediction for 2026 is saying minimal, clear nails à la Carrie Bradshaw are IN…just sayin’.)

So, allow us to introduce you to our at-home, under-20-minute savior: Manucurist.

Parisian brand Manucurist focuses on nail health first, with a few treatment options and professional-quality products that give you a salon finish, right at home. Plus, the good-for-you ingredients mix care with creamy colors, vibrant sparkles, or jelly-like finishes–aka, something for everyone. With targeted effects within each line, Manucurist has everything from treatments that smooth out the nail surface, strengthen brittle nails, cure your cuticles, to even an overnight all-in-one mask for when nails need a little extra TLC. If you couldn’t tell, we’re basically this brand’s biggest fan.

But don’t just take our word for it–we put a few products to the test, and we promise you’ll want to try these out for yourself.

JULES, NAIL SALON ADDICT

Hi, I’m Jules, and I absolutely love getting my nails done. Specifically, long-lasting dip or gel manicures, because I’m constantly using my hands and need something that can keep up. A few months ago, I took a break from the nail salon because, quite frankly, my nails needed to breathe a bit. As someone with naturally long and strong nailbeds, I was left with paper-thin, brittle stubs that were almost crying out for help. I picked up the Mani Rescue Kit just to have something, anything on my nails for protection…and I was genuinely blown away. The base coat itself is something I now apply to my nails weekly–plus, it dries so quickly that I don’t have to worry about smudging or transferring. The cuticle oil makes my nails look fresh and salon-like. The mask is perfect for when you need an overnight, intense treatment. And the Green Polish? It makes me question why I spent years at the nail salon. The creamy, gel-like color is so rich (you do need 2-3 coats, but once you’re there, it’s gorgeous) and, after 5 days of wear–including washing my hair, washing the dishes, scrubbing the shower–my manicure still looks fresh and shiny.

The best part? It literally dries in 5 minutes, and you don’t need a topcoat. For me, I can’t wait a few hours for something to dry down, and I know a lot of people agree. But I was able to give myself a full at-home manicure, from cuticles to base coat to finished polish, in about 20 minutes. It’s clean, it’s stunning, and it lasts! I can’t say enough good things about these at-home nail products–I’m a fan for life now.

CAITLIN, MOM WHO NEEDS A MANICURE

I’ve always been lucky to have pretty decent nails. They grow fast, they’re strong, and they get long. Unfortunately, I’m not great at upkeep. I’m perpetually shaping them for a manicure I never end up getting. If I paint them myself, they never look great, and I usually just let the polish chip off. And now that I’m a mom, my nails have become even less of a priority. I’m constantly looking down at them thinking, “I should do something about these.”

Enter: Manucurist. A nail polish that’s an all-in-one treatment and color? Sign me up. I thought that Active Glow sounded like the perfect choice for me since a couple of coats gives a subtle color and it would also help to nourish my natural nails. When I tested it out, I just swiped on two thin layers, and I was super impressed at how quickly it dried — it gave my nails a bit of a blushed appearance and a really nice high-shine finish. It has a really minimal look, but in a way that’s perfect for my lifestyle, because if chips do happen, you can’t really tell. My nails look shiny and healthy and just a little bit enhanced, so I can finally feel a little less insecure about my nail care routine. It takes like five minutes to add a little color and glow, and I’m good to go about my day with pretty nails for once.

GWEN, STATEMENT NAILS REQUIRED

As a girl with a dedicated nail art Pinterest board, going natural felt like the most boring thing I could possibly do. However, after forking over hundreds, maybe even thousands, of dollars every month getting gel fills—with designs and colors that looked better on my phone than they did on my nails—I decided I'VE HAD IT. I let them grow, and buzzed the rest off myself. In this economy, a subpar manicure was just not something I could do anymore.

While my bank account was happy, I was faced with a new horror: BORING. BRITTLE. NAILS. After years of abusing them with chemicals and power tools, they had lost all their life, and broke when the wind hit them, it seemed. Then, I remembered an Instagram ad that seemed to appear in every other post for a nail polish brand whose treatments were built into the formula. I was overjoyed when I found them on our website and immediately ordered the Shine treatment, as a chrome or subtle sparkle had always been my go-to at the nail salon.

The result? Pure shock. Bewilderment. And those are understatements. Not only did my nails look nice, but they also grew. Not just in length, but in strength too, which is always the kicker when it comes to nail care products. I got to the point where my nails were so strong, I could shape them into my signature rounded almond I used to get at the salon (a day I thought I'd never see again). I started getting compliments on my nails again, and not for the crazy colors or designs, but for the length, the look. "You grew those yourself?" My new favorite compliment. I knew I was never going back to my monthly nail appointments thanks to Manucurist, but I did miss my more elaborate designs…

Iridescent, glitter, chrome, you name it, they have it. Now that my nails were fully intact, I was ready to run back to my maximalist roots (or a healthier version of them). I felt incredible knowing I was nourishing my nails while also embracing the glitz and glam I always had on my moodboard. It's the perfect vibe to go into a new year with, taking care of yourself while still having a bit of fun ;)

TLDR: We Love Manucurist!

If it wasn’t obvious, we all genuinely love these at-home manicure products. Something that we collectively discovered that we loved, though, is the act of self-care and the ritual of painting our own nails. It reminded us of the magic of girlhood, painting our nails in our bedrooms, playing around with fun designs. Sometimes, you need to take a few minutes to do something nice for yourself, even if it’s something as simple as throwing on a clear coat or putting on some cuticle oil during the dry winter months. The added benefits of strong, healthy nails are definitely a bonus!

Try these out and let us know what you think! Xoxo, FP.
