Think dark romance…
There are a lot of cool jobs at FP’s Home Office.
Andrea’s job ranks right near the very top, if not at the cool-job pinnacle itself: Design Director, Amazing Limited-Run Dresses. Or something like that…
Whenever a new dress capsule is launched – of which there are 12 per year – there’s an audible sigh of awe and excitement that resonates throughout the building. Andrea’s designs consistently boast thoughtful and intricate details, and always bring to life a fun story that’s been milling round in her head and through the pages of her sketchbook. (Her touches can also be found from time to time in our jacket, sweater, and tops assortment – basically anything that Andrea is coveting that season.)

"
Holiday is one of my favorite seasons to design because I can finally use all the sparkly things that I save up all year,” says Andrea. “It's extra fun because holiday means true party dress time – and nothing is too over the top. More is more!”
For this most recent collection, Andrea was inspired by monochromatic embellishment, creating unexpected and fun textures by layering different fabrications and details within the same palette.
One of our collective favorites from the Party Dress Edit is the Midnight Hour Mini. And here to tell you a little bit about its ideation is Andrea herself:

"
I’m always naturally drawn to beautiful romantic things like flowers and soft color palettes. But for this season, I wanted to explore my darker side, too.”
"
I was channeling movies and shows I love like "The Craft," "American Horror Story: The Coven," and the 90s Sandra Bullock movie, "Practical Magic."
"
The Midnight Hour is a great going out and nighttime party dress, so its amazingly witchy name just seemed right.”
"
I love the contrast of feminine lace and velvet, done in a very goth black colorway. I also love the mix of the Midnight Hour’s romantic sleeve with a sexy bodycon shape.”
"
It's just a perfect holiday party dress, and I can't wait to see it out in the world at a bar in the midnight hour. 🥰”
