Holiday Return Policy

Holiday Return Policy Purchases made from 11/01/2018 through 12/24/2018 on and in Free People stores may be returned for credit towards the original form of payment through 1/31/2019. Items must be returned in original condition with attached price tickets and must be accompanied by the packing list or original sales receipt. All other conditions of our Return Policy apply. FP Additions are excluded. Please refer to the sellers Return Policy.

Gift Returns - The original order number from the packing list or Order Confirmation email is required to process gift returns. Please include this with your gift!

Non-Holiday Return Policy Purchase made prior to 11/01/2018: If we receive your return at our warehouse within 30 days of delivery, we’ll credit your original form of payment. If it's received after 30 days, a Free People eGift Card will be issued. If you paid with a gift card or eGift card, a new eGift card in the amount of the credit will be issued and emailed to you accordingly. Please note: eGift and gift cards cannot be returned or exchanged.

How To Start Your Return (US Customers)

Print a pre-paid return SmartLabel® to receive a faster refund!

  1. Locate Your Order – Click on Order Status or click on My Account and select Order History.

  2. Select Your Items – Locate the items you wish to return. If the item was a gift, check the Gift box to receive an eGift card for the refund.

  3. Print Your Return Label - Print your label, pack up your items, and drop them in the mail. We’ll send you an email with your return tracking number.

A fee of $5.95 will be deducted per return. Drop off your return at any USPS facility, with your postal carrier, or schedule a pickup at

Once your return has been processed, we’ll send you a Return Notification email. Please allow 1-3 business days for refunds to be received to your original form of payment once processed.

SmartLabel® can be used for all US addresses including APO/FPO addresses and US Territories. Please contact Customer Service if returning oversized and hazerdous items. If located outside of the United States, please visit our international page.
