Rated 4 out of 5Â by saltwatergypsy flattering dress
i bought this in the black color. i'm 45 and just felt that the gold was too trendy/young looking for ME, although i admit that i do ADORE the gold color. for reference, i am 5'6" and 135-140 lbs, 34DD. i am usually a M in FP tops. based on the reviews i reluctantly purchased the size S and it fits PERFECTLY with the perfect amount of room to spare to still look flowy. even the slip fits, which was my biggest concern. as one reviewer said she had to cut hers out because it was too tight across the chest. it was perfectly fine for me. i also was thinking that the length on the M might have been longer than i wanted it to be so i took the chance with the S and it is the perfect length at several inches above the knee. not thigh length like the online pics. overall, pretty and flattering dress. i'm quite happy with it.

by Samantha90 Definitely fit like a dream
I got this dress and was nervous that i hsould have ordered a smaller size after reading some of the reviews. I am 5'2" and 61KGS, and normally purchase all my FP clothing in Small; including this dress. when it arrived and i tried it on, i found the fit was PERFECT! I think some people missed the clothing description where it says "loose fitting" - Please note there is a blue slip that sits underneath the flowing patterned fabric and XS would have definitely been too small for me.
I absolutely adore this dress! plus it is winter here so its gorgeous with some stockings, doc martins and a baggy knit jumper thrown over :)
Rated 3 out of 5Â by eclecticfashionista pretty but poor workmanship
I'm normally lazy when it comes to reviews, but I couldn't pass up on giving FP a piece of my mind about this item. I love the style & the color Navy as it suits me well, so I'm willing to forego the exaggerated volume of this dress. What I'm not filling to forget, however, is how sorry & poor the workmanship is. I mean, it's voluminous, huge, loose & yet it's bursing at the seams before I could even try it on...there are too many places where the seams are not well sewn in (or might even have been left unsewn thru utter negligence) and left holes & tears in the fabric at the seams...I was so upset because I had to sew them up before they got worse...I could not send it back for an exchange bec. the Navy color is completely sold out in all sizes. If I did not like the whole concept of the dress or color, I would not have hesitated to pack it back up & sending it back for a refund Pronto!!! TO FP PEOPLE: Please stay on track of your quality control. You charge so much for your items & your customers are not supposed to make up for the poor workmanship of whoever makes your clothes. Granted we could always return for exchange, but suppose items get sold out & there's no chance of that happening, & the process of returns for exchange/refunds is such a hassle, to begin with, that I personally just live with what I get & charge it to lousy experience. Bottomline is...inspect the quality of your merchandise well first before making them available for sale!!! So ladies wanting to get this dress, pls. beware!

This is such a beautiful dress. I just bought this in an XS (I am 5'4, 106 pounds) and it definitely runs big on me and has a lot of fabric. Even though I swim in it a bit, I still love the style with tall boots. The front keyhole hangs so low that I need to wear a bandeau or tank top underneath, and the back of the dress hangs longer than in the front. Overall, I am still happy with my purchase and will wear it year-round!

This was my very first order from FP and I am very happy with the fit and overall look of this dress! I am 5'4" with a 34 D, almost DD bust, the dress hits me right at the knee and the slip fits very comfortably. Yes, it is quite "shapeless," but that's really the look. It does run a touch large, I would usually order a M, but because of the reviews I read, I ordered a S & I'm very pleased! Quite flattering, romantic, and flowy. I will be wearing it to a music festival with some black wedges and I'm psyched about how comfortable I'll be while still rockin' a stylish bohemian vibe!

im 5'4 and about 110 pounds. i love this dress but it does kind of swallow me up at time. i have to be careful what i wear with this dress. this dress is absolutely GORGEOUS on tall girls! GORGEOUS! if you are tall you NEEEED this dress! for me, i am just cautious wearing it because i love it so much. i always wear this dress with tall shoes like a short heeled boot - anything with height! and i like to put my hair up with this to show off my shape a little more so i do not look like i am being eaten by fabric. short girls, you can wear this! just know how to do so!
Rated 4 out of 5Â by p1gp3n loose fit except for slip
this is as pictured, except that it fits longer on me as I'm short. it also fits loose. I like the fit of the cape when I size down, but then the bust of the built-in slip is too tight. the slip is blue for the navy, so it's not see through.

I wanted to love this dress - I thought the concept was so cute, but alas, it's not meant to be. I went ahead and ordered a size smaller than usual, since all the reviews mentioned how large this dress runs. It fit ok everywhere but the bust. It was so tight, my boobs were spilling out of it, and the slip is horrible. It's small, and it's sewn into the dress at the bib neckline. I was planning on cutting it out, but wasn't sure if I wanted to keep the dress. Ultimately I felt that even with the removal of the slip, the dress wouldn't be the most attractive on someone with my shape. Just a little too tent like with the boobs. For reference I'm a 36DD. If you're smaller than that, and long and lean, I say go for it. Larger ladies, you're better off waiting for something more waist defining. Also, I purchased the purple/black combo - was not in love. It looked somewhat matronly on me. Wish they still had the black/orange combination....
