During designer Sheena Sood?s childhood, frequent trips to India sparked her fascination with vibrant colors and South Asian craft. This inspired a lifelong passion for travel, textiles, color and pattern. She has since explored countries like Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico and more, studying Indigenous textiles and incorporating their specialized techniques into her designs. After years of designing for other brands, she founded Abacaxi, giving her the opportunity to share new stories and support artisans preserving traditional crafts.
