Floral and butterfly printed velvet skinnies. Five-pocket styling with a button fly and zip closure.
I am a size 12 and usually, in FP, even the 31 can be an iffy fit, i.e. too small. But I ordered this in the 31 and it's loose in the waist and a bit loose front of hips and in the legs. I have a tubby problem so for the waist to be loose on me, that's LOOSE for a 31. I have ordered the 30 to see if that will work. Hope so. They are not as stretchy as I'd have preferred, but they are nice, and the velvet fabric is nice. Fingers crossed for the 30.
These were probably some of the most beautiful pants I have seen in person. Vibrant color and vivid print, but not at all loud and gaudy. The fabric was so soft and the velvet was plush. I typically wear a 26 or 27 in Free People pants. I ordered the 26 and they fit me perfect everywhere. I have a well endowed rump and small waistband. I almost always have to wear a belt but not with these. Unfortunately the first time I put them on they ripped across my leg in several places almost immediately. It was as if the fabric disinigrated. I sew and have run into similar issues with vintage fabric that has been stored incorrectly. I was so sad that I had to return these lovely pants.
FP skinnies freak me out a little because I'm very tall (5'10") and I wouldn't exactly call my legs "skinny". (145 lbs. and hardly athletic) FP pants are usually not well proportioned for me, but these fit better than my favorite pair of denim skinnies! I usually get a 31 in FP pants and grumble about the thighs and often the waist, but make do. However, the 31 in these are perfect for me. I also love the fabric. It's soft, flexible, and the perfect weight, not like some velvet which can be stiff and thick. The deep red and violet blue are stunning, as well, but without being loud. They look awesome with a plain white top, and I'm thinking a chambray buttondown might not look too shabby, either! For the current price, these are such an affordable little luxury.
Sadly, they ripped the first time I tried them on
They very nice, luxurious color! The same cut pants suits me perfect, but this one ripped (not at seams, just in few random places on legs) so I suppose, not great quality material or I just got lemon... So upsetting :(
These jeans are amazing! It is a very soft, silky velvet, not that thick bulky kind. I am a true 25 in most brands of jeans and I think these are true to size. I'm 5'2" and weight 118 and the 25's fit perfectly. They are snug though, as they are "skinny jeans" and my generous behind fills out the back more than it does on the model. I think if I had sized up though, then the waist would have been too big. I agree with the other reviewer that they do stretch a bit the longer you have them on. I got the "onyx" color and it is magnificient, a deep rich black with splashes of gold.
I love these velvet skinnies. They are warm and soft and comfy! I'm usually a 26 or 27. In the FP Either Direction Zip Ankle Skinny I'm a 27 but in these I took a 26. I think these are the same ones from last year that I bought in a solid color also in size 26. I'm 5'4" and the length is great for boots, booties, or heels. They are def much longer on me than the model, hitting around my ankle. I hope they come back with the solid colors. I'd buy more!!
Stretches throughout the day
When I first tried them on, they were a bit loose, nothing a belt couldn't fix. But throughout the day, they stretched a lot more and I had to keep pulling them back up. I'd really order one size down as I'm a true 25 and they fit like a 27 now. I really wish I could exchange these but I already wore them.
Beautiful pants, but the fit is off
These pants are gorgeous: the colors are vivid and the print is unique. But the fit is off. I'm a true 27 in FP pants and when I put these on, I immediately realized that the legs had quite a bit of give and the waist was HUGE (not even a belt could help). Sadly, back they went. I'm hoping the 26 I ordered will fit better because I see these being a staple for fall/winter. I'm in love with them.
