Carelessly Made

These socks were just not what I expected. They are extremely long, which is not portrayed in the product images, but merely hinted at by the almost invisible scrunching of the top of the socks. They are made of an extremely thin material, which is great for layering in principle, but not in practice. There is no substance to these socks. The elastic keeps them in place, but they are too large; moreover, they are baggy and give the appearance of being cheap.

Love them!

I have no complaints about these, they are just as pictured. They are pretty long but are meant to be worn a little bit scrunched up. Super cute. Also, around the thighs they fit fine... they are a tad tight but if they were any looser they would fall down.

I should've listened to some of the reviews. They do make your thighs look fat at the top. So sad.

Best Thigh Hi's ever!!

  • Age: 41-45

I wear a lot of Thigh Hi socks (Hue, American Apparel etc) they all droop and constantly pulling them up. If I buy the heavier wool socks they stay up but too heavy (you get the picture). These are perfect! These are also nice and lightweight. The biggest drawback is if you are a petite person...the socks are quite long. I'm 5'7" with long legs and the socks go all the way up to the top of my inseam. if you are petite it may be too much material to fold over. But I guarantee they won't fall down!

Not socks at all

These are not socks but more like thigh high tights. They're very see through and thin, bad quality. The pictures play down the fact that they are super long, but they are actually up to my hips. Too cheap to return, but not worth wearing. I do not recommend these at all. Very disappointing, especially for Free People.

socks came at two different lengths, even though it states "one size" so i ended up cutting the fps of so the lengths would match but now the fall down my legs and have to resort in using suspenders socks looked lovely on the picture but one is loads bigger/baggier than the other disapointed

RIDICULOUSLY long!

I was so excited when this box arrived in the mail, but I was soon disappointed as soon as I opened it. The socks are a lovely maroon colour and super soft, but they're made of a super super thin material. It's so thin that it's nearly transparent and I really hate how it looks on my skin. The most concerning thing was how freaking long these were! I held the socks up next to me and they reached past my hip! That is completely unacceptable for socks that are supposed to be THIGH HIGH. It was absolutely ridiculous, there is no possible way I can wear this without looking like an idiot! It's completely different than the model in the picture! I'm so disappointed in this purchase, and I severely hope that the rest of Free People's clothing is made with better quality.

I bought two pair due to the recent "sale on sale," and I am returning both pair of these (along with other stuff that I am returning) to cover the return shipping costs. :) I have legitimate chicken legs (seriously) and they give my thighs "muffin top." Too bad, because they are cute. However, I am not going to continue to keep cheaper items from FP just because they're cheap. They're going back! Honestly would not recommend these to anyone, however; some seem to have had good luck with them. It may just be a hit and miss thing. Stats: 5'6", 110 pounds

Love them for $5

One thing about FP thigh high socks is they're SO LONG. I'm 5'9 and often have the problem of long socks not being long enough, but these are almost too long b/c if you pull them up all the way, they disappear under your skirt/sweater/etc. and no one can tell they're thigh highs! I didn't have the problem that some people mention about the thigh "muffin top" (haha I love it), BUT I do tend to scrunch most of my thigh highs down a bit so that they're an inch or 2 above my knee, and on a skinnier part of my thigh. I like them a lot, they're made of a more delicate, thin material, but don't seem to snag easily. Can't beat $5!!

Not good for curvy ladies.

I'm curvy but small, at a size 4. My legs are toned and shapely but not particuarly large, these socks did not work for me. The band at the top was entirely too tight and cut off my circulation. Looks awful! I can't imagine these working for anyone who didn't have pencil thin legs. Such a shame because the sale price is awesome and the material is nice! Hopefully I can return in store and exchange for a pair without the band.
