Nice, but not great

The other reviewer is right. We all know FP"s sizing can be wonky at the best of times - I'm pretty heavy in the stomach but have S/M things that often fit me baggy. I got the 30 in this, debating whether or not to size up now I got it. It fits, but is a LOT snugger than what I'd expected with FP, especially for something that appears so roomy on the model. I will say that 30 is about my usual size, to be fair to FP, but i expected these to be loose and summery but they feel skintight. Also, I SO love FP for having some shorts that are a proper length. On so many retailers, I find tons of hot pants that are just too short to wear out without literally showing off your backside. It's nice for FP to realise that some women want to wear shorts that don't need tights or special underwear - these were specially a great length for those of us who are slightly big in the thigh area and don't want to expose all of our cellulite. However, they are also super thin. I know they're summer shorts, but knowing they once retailed for 168...I have paid less (at sale price) for much more durable-seeming shorts than these. They feel very thin and, to be frank, not very good quality. I'm no seamstress so I have absolutely no professional experience, but the seams felt like they might rip in the pockets if you weren't careful. The sale price is much more aligned to their actual quality, IMO. Still - cute shorts, good length. Recommended at sale price and definitely size up one size if you carry weight around your stomach, as that's where they seem to run smallest; you might need to size up 2 IF you want a more oversized look.

Cute but size up!

I loved these but at the original price they cost a lot so when they went on sale I had to have both colors---since there were no reviews I had to guess they would run small given the measurements that failed to say what size they were from...regardless---size up if you want these to fit roomy! I had envisioned a loose fit so I ordered two sizes! I'm normally a 27 but will hopefully be able to wear the 29---arghh! The material is very thin with no stretch and everything fit fine except the waist. For a fi like the model--size up--benefit from my review since I had none to reference!
