LOVE!!!! SO STINKIN SOFT!
I bought this in 3 colors, thinking I would send 2 back but when I received them I fell completely in love and couldn't part with any of them! You can dress them up with skinny jeans and ankle booties or where them on the weekends with leggings look adorable hanging around the house! Every time I wear one my husband tells me "you look cute today". :-) I'm 5'5" 130 lbs and I ordered them in small. The colors look the same as they appear in pics.
This shirt is wonderful and absolutely worth the price. I highly recommend it. A lot of the reviewers commented that it runs large and you should size down, so I purchased the small. I am tall at a little over 5' 8" and approximately a size 4-6. I wanted to make a note to other tall purchasers. If you are tall and long-limbed you may want to stick to your normal size. The overall fit in this shirt in any size is roomy, but in buying the small, I found it to be a little shorter than I would have liked in the length and especially the sleeves. I traded it for a medium and am very happy with it!
Favorite shirt. Size and color challenging.
After a bit of a struggle with size and color, I am now the happy owner of two of these soft, and comfy shirts. I wanted the rust color and because of the reviews, was encouraged to try the size Small, on my normally Medium/Large body. Happily, it fits well, even on the blousey side. Hoping for a tad more extra room in the derriere, I ordered the White in Medium. The chest measured 21' lying flat, exactly like the Small Rust one. Hips were exactly like the Rust as well. It is not white, more close to pale yellow. I've since received the Moss in Medium and Large. The Medium is 22" at the chest, lying flat, and the Large is just over 24, and quite a bit larger all over." Kept the Medium. Moss is not as gray as it appears on the model, rather a dark olive green, much prettier than the photo, in my opinion. Definitely a 5 star shirt!
Like but don't love
I like the shirt, but as other reviewers have pointed out it is incredibly oversized. I am a petite frame and an XS still swims on me. I don''t find it particularly flattering, particularly the sleeves which are huge. But I will keep it and wear it, I have the blue which is the shade as the picture. It seems well made and durable. Its always disappointing when you don't look like the model in the picture ! (joking). No buyers regret here, but I hoped that it may have suited me more. Petite buyers take note that it can look a little too large and be designated to weekend wear only.
Love this shirt. It's a crazy price to pay for a shirt. But there are so many great things about it that it's an investment piece that will be a wardrobe staple forever. I love the color (white) which isn't cream as one reviewer commented and isn't optic white either. It's one of those white colors that are hard to find because its soft and looks great against your face. I ordered size large and it's definitely oversized and long on my 5'4" frame, almost to my knees. I may exchange for a medium but I like the way the large falls so nicely around my curves. I could wear it tied at the waist because there's enough fabric to tie without looking bulky. The fabric is substantial but not heavy, and has a very slight vertical pattern. Oh, and it feels absolutely divine. So soft and cozy. I've ordered the plaid CP Shades shirt which I returned because it was too tight through the hips but this one is ample and seductive.
Everyday shirt to reach for…
Unsure of size, I bought an xs, knowing it might be too small, so I snagged a small after asking for an email update when restocked. I'm 5'5", 135 pounds, with small shoulders and average waist/hips (size 6-8 pants). The xsmall fit, a little boyfriendy, but the arms felt too short. With an oversized shirt, the arms should be long, a true boyfriend fit. The small size is perfect: longer arms (they cover most of my hand), and a roomier overall fit. So soft and comfy! Boulder color is true to pics. Note: one of the shirts I received has a white FreePeople/CP Shades combo tag, the other a boulder-dyed CP Shades tag. FP must have changed to a combo tag somewhere along the line. Otherwise, shirts are identical. Wish they'd stock more richly colored, everyday shirts like this: well made, everyone (no matter how old) loves them. This is a true staple, one to be worn for years, and that will withstand wash after wash after wash, and never come apart. Beautiful shirt.
CP Shades, how do you do it?
Think of the size as equivalent to mens. I got the Beet, but the color was a little softer than pictured. Hopefully it won't turn too pink as it fades. Shrank about an inch in each direction. Somehow, it just looks amazing and it feels like butter. Actually worth the money. I have several other double cloth shirts and I love them all, but this is the one I reach for.
till death do us part
Oh BOY! this shirt is so soft and yummy I put it on and actually never want to take it off! Looks great with just about everything like it with body con skirts. A true staple, so laid back and easy. I purchased the white, which is white just not an optic white (not really cream either as another reviewer said). wish it was a little less pricey, but totally worth it as I will be wearing it for years to come! Thanks FP!!
Wash is not White
I was really disappointed when this came in the mail. I was expecting a white shirt as depicted on the model. Unfortunately, this shirt is off white (like a cream). Returning.
